  1. I would keep your head focused on Singer, because honestly with DC I've had and other people as well had terrible customer service. It could take forever to get a response back from them if something goes wrong(from my experience) I finally gave up after they basically told me to give them $600 for a new one. Sent it over to Singer, fixed it and it's wonderful. Sold the DC alt to buddy still runs strong 4 years later of daily pounding. My current 270 Singer is just a damn monster, no problems for this baby.

  2. I have this app on my phone, I put in 2000 watts because I'm sure you aren't pushing out the full 2400 with Hifonics. I also assumed when you are banging your voltage is 13.

The results were 205 AH, which is probably what your stock and d3100 will be close to putting out. it's saying it would recommened 102 amps for an alternator.

So with that being said, I personally don't think you need an alternator and i'm not sure how accurate this app is either(ultimate car app)

As far as mixing the two batterys, I'll let that go to someone who knows more

  3. Your battery bank depends on what your Alternators charging capability is. If you have a 200a alt, figure the car is going to require about 50-65a of that and leave the rest for the audio. So now you have 135a of charging capability from that alt and the rest has to be made up by the batteries. With the bc5500 and t-600, you are going to have the possibility of drawing 6-700a of current, not saying that is exactly what they are going to draw, but they could. I always plan for the worst case scenario when planning electrical systems.

The following is by no means the only way to calculate how many batteries you need, but has worked pretty well for me so far.

    700a of current draw

    - 135 amp of alt output

    =565a battery support

    D3100- 110ah

    565/110=5.13

My recommendation is 5 XS Power D3100s in the rear along with whatever size XS battery is a direct drop in under the hood.

    Hope this helps.
