Double posted on accident.

I have this app on my phone, I put in 2000 watts because I'm sure you aren't pushing out the full 2400 with Hifonics. I also assumed when you are banging your voltage is 13.
The results were 205 AH, which is probably what your stock and d3100 will be close to putting out. it's saying it would recommened 102 amps for an alternator.
So with that being said, I personally don't think you need an alternator and i'm not sure how accurate this app is either(ultimate car app)
As far as mixing the two batterys, I'll let that go to someone who knows more

Just wondering what size Xs powers battery terminal posts are so I know how to get the correct size bus bars from Toolmaker. D3100 will be in use!

Your amp making a whining noise isn't cool turbo charging power, it's alternator whining!

You are A mad man....I'm very jealous of your son being able to work on all of this with you, not to mention having the car!

Just spend the $75 on building A box.

DAMN SON. please tell you're still doing this?

Thanks Mike ^^ Makes sence.

I run 7k with 4 d3100's and I still drop pretty low.
How low?
I'm running four D3100's in back, D3400 up front a Mechman elite 370, powering an NS1 @.65 and I stay in the highs 13s full tilt. Lowest I've seen is 13.4ish.
probably not enough runs/proper grounds. just my 2 cents.

Is 200 amp the biggest plug and play alt, or biggest alt period?
You asked Singer about a bigger option that may bolt on, even with some metal fabrication, and external regulation?
I have not, metal fabrication would not be a single problem for me, I'm a welder/fabricator, And I ment plug and play.

I had 4 3100's and 1 3400 off a 300 amp dc power spx alt and voltage didnt go below 13. 2 crescendo 3500's at 1 ohm
I can only use a 200 amp alt, so i'll have to add another bat or two of what you have.

Your battery bank depends on what your Alternators charging capability is. If you have a 200a alt, figure the car is going to require about 50-65a of that and leave the rest for the audio. So now you have 135a of charging capability from that alt and the rest has to be made up by the batteries. With the bc5500 and t-600, you are going to have the possibility of drawing 6-700a of current, not saying that is exactly what they are going to draw, but they could. I always plan for the worst case scenario when planning electrical systems.
The following is by no means the only way to calculate how many batteries you need, but has worked pretty well for me so far.
700a of current draw
- 135 amp of alt output
=565a battery support
D3100- 110ah
565/110=5.13
My recommendation is 5 XS Power D3100s in the rear along with whatever size XS battery is a direct drop in under the hood.
Hope this helps.
O_O...5?....Sheeeeeeeeitttttt@@@!!

Just to clarify, youre getting a high output alt.. right?
200 Amp Singer, or any other 200 Amp that'll be able to fit my car...just not irragi
My car can only regulate and charge @ 200

Crescendo BC5800/Rockford t-600
I'll be replacing the front hood as well.
and If anyone can give me some type of formula to fiigure out myself, it'd be awesome so I don't gotta keep bugging you guys.
EDIT; 200 AMP ALT. I have an Accord that can only charge that much.

I would keep your head focused on Singer, because honestly with DC I've had and other people as well had terrible customer service. It could take forever to get a response back from them if something goes wrong(from my experience) I finally gave up after they basically told me to give them $600 for a new one. Sent it over to Singer, fixed it and it's wonderful. Sold the DC alt to buddy still runs strong 4 years later of daily pounding. My current 270 Singer is just a damn monster, no problems for this baby.
