  1. Reason I ask about the kickers is because I can get 3 brand new off ebay for about $380 shipped and I have a local kicker dealer that would build the box. I live in no where so there will be no bassoff's I hated driving to race r/c's to win money so I know I'm nothing drving for a bassoff.

    What the hell are these

the HDC's will get very loud, the Q's are for SQ and the SSD's are the entry line

HDCS are the audioque subs im not sure what series. THe Q is the FI Q sub woofer ment for SQ and the SSD is the FI SSD subwoofer the entry one, sort of like the kicker comp that's kickers entry level sub,yet the SSD can take 800 wrms :spiteful:

  2. You misread.

That's what his buddy has and he wants to be louder than that.

    For $5k.

    You can look at 2 18" DC LV5's. $1300

    Sundown 3k $1520 for a refurbs.

Wood, Misc box building materials, $80.

Really Nice Head unit $500 (I Mean REALLY NICE.)

    Wire, fuses,RCA's Etc. $60.

That still leaves you with $1500.

I Like that plan you'll really outdo your friend with this.what car you got anyways so we can give you a plan...

  3. Yes, but don't use it to measure the amps your amp is pulling.

It is only rated for 10 amps.

And If you measure current, make sure to follow directions, place the meter in series with the load NOT parallel.

so what would i use in order to make sure the amp is working?by finding current??

  4. The subs are 380 rms a piece. should i get a 1000 rms amp like you he said or should i go higher to give the subs all they can handle..

you go any higher and your gonna be buying sum new subs there.i dont think sony can take that much more power maybe like a 1200 watts rms amp but 1000 should be good for those three subs.

  5. Invest the $7 into a multi-meter they are your best friend.

That, or stick your tongue across the terminals. (Disclaimer: DON'T!)

is it those ones that tell you all the info like ohms and amps and all that sruff?

  6. Well, usually, lights on amps are controlled by the remote so we can rul that out.

Did you check the voltages at the terminals?

well the lights on the front dont turn on fully like the lights will be dim and then the power light wont even turn on.and idk since i dont have a multimeter.

  7. so we checked everything made sure it was tight, and now all the amp does it turn on the hifonics lights just a lil bit but no bass or nothing, then we tried his other amp a rockford fosgate and that one didnt turn on either anybody no what it is???

  8. Is the speaker still hooked up to the sub? try unhooking sub and rcas. if it still does not turn on chech the voltage on the positive and the voltage to the remote.

I guess it still is and it just dosent turn on.and how would we check the voltage on the amp??

  9. My friend has a hifonics titan. We ran his sub which is a soundstream t5-12 inch sub,we had the sub run at 4 ohms at first but then we ran it at 1 ohm.Sounded great until he turned on the epicenter, then the amp went in to protect mode and now it wont turn on?my friend said he rewired everything on the amp again and still wont turn on?anybody know the problem?
