I used to compete with Kicker L7 12s and did well but I never really liked the way they sounded, but I love the sound of the L7 10s & 8s. You'll definitely need an amp with a high damping factor to control those. Maybe an old ZR1000 or a pair of them or the slightly less powerful ZR600 if you can find them. -
Bass is beautiful, if it's clean, rich and deep.
Ya gotta be able to hit 30Hz as loud as 50Hz or it just ain't bass.
Maybe I'll find a Zapco9.0 or a USAmps 2000 and rebuild the truck.
Why don't we start a new comp format based around 2 12"?
Keep it simple, keep it fun & make sure it covers all the real bass from 30-50Hz. No sin...
