  1. I work at an audio shop, and after multiple inquires to sundown, there is hardly any mark up on their products. I can understand the frustration of being told one thing and then another a short time later. But at the end of the day the shop has to make money. Selling those subs to you for 220 a piece before tax probably would have made the shop 40 bucks a woofer. Where as say selling a Rockford t1 for 400 just made the shop 200 bucks. It's all in how companies mark up their product that determines how much a shop can charge.

they have to make money sure, but why lie to him to do it?

Was it the shop owner or the employee that said they would price match? Maybe the employee lied to get you there and then asked the owner after the fact. Kinda what it sounds like.

  2. I hate that. You have a little car and you can't park or scared of a scratch. Park out in the middle of nowhere.

When my scion XB was brand new in 2006 I went to the mall with my wife. It still had the temp plates on it. Anyway I parked out away from everyone as to protect the car from that inevitable first door ding. I come out about an hour or two later and some Jack ass parked hid pass door about 8 " away from my drivers door. Now there was no other cars around and plenty of open spaces but this dick must of thought he was going to be funny. So yes I am a little pissed so I squeezed in between my car and his and was able to put my knee into his door about 5-6 Times. Then I got in my car from the drivers side and drove away. I am almost positive he wasn't laughing when he returned.

  3. so I can buy all those tools and a concrete bucket or 1 single tool?

geez, tough choice. but I do see that guys point, this isn't the only tool that works. But, I will let him use the concrete bucket...

I understand what he is saying as well, just giving him a hard time. Jokes aside, even if that setup worked, you would then know how many VA your amplifier can put out into a bucket of concrete. Still wouldn't tell you how many Watts your amplifier puts into your SPEAKERS

You should post the vid of you showing what the AMM-1 can do. That might clear up some things.

  4. In before it gets closed.... Well I like the AMM-1 as it does more than just test the real power your subwoofer is seeing which is going to be different than what the dyno says. I think Tony's demo vid he did about the AMM-1 is very informative and just focuses on the fact that any DYI audio person can use it for many different things.

This thread is getting out of hand IMO. But hey it is fun to read.
