  1. so basically im in the middle of selling the stuff i originally bought for my stereo but i ended up wanting to go with Treo. so today i just purchased 2 18" Treo SSX's for my ride. i know im still in afghanistan and havent even seen the other stuff but i figured i would go with quality more than quantity. so whats your guy's take on TREO???? personally i love them and i didnt think i would ever be able to afford these subs but i met the right person so i got a great deal.
  2. well a few days after i posted this i decided to go a different route. so im gonna be selling my 4 MA 18's and buying 2 Treo SSX 18's. which will probably be louder than the 4 MA's anyway. ill be puttin about 10k RMS at 14v and roughly an under rated 14k rms at 18v from my 2 amps strapped. so wish me luck on selling my stuff haha. im offically goin for quality not quantity. but maybe in the future ill run 2 more SSX 18's and 2 more amps that i will be purchasing. the amps i will be running are from a company called Adassa audio over in the UK. ill post pics of the amp in the amp thread but sorry not allowed to take pics of the board.
  3. ok i have a question about lowering the front end of my escalade. i plan on putting alot of weight in the back something similar to steves setup but instead im gonna use 2 18" Treo SSX subs with about 10k daily . changed my whole setup around when i got a steal of a deal on these "special" amps. but anyways this is about using torsion keys. i was wondering how they work and if they are necessary. i bought some air shocks for my rear end which is leaf springs not coils. i have 23's im throwing on it and i figured the weight in the back would drop it enough for me but i know im gonna hvae to drop the front as well. care to explain how to drop the front? ??? thanks bro
  4. ive been wondering about throttle body spacers myself. i about bought one when i purchased my K&N FIPK but if it doesnt really do much good i figured i wouldnt waste the little amount of money that they cost. rather spend that extra money on a couple cases of beer or something lol.so i kinda know what they do but the thing i wanna know if its even worth buying?
  5. so basically i have never installed these but i have decided to go with a different set of amps that i can strap together for 14,000 watts 18v though. they are from Adassa Audio. New company out of the UK. they are VERY similar to the Atomic 5000.1 almost identical. i designed the logo for this company so i get a good deal on them. im gonna trade the owner my 2 new amps for him to sell over there and he is gonna send me the 2 Adassa amps. here are some specs on it This is the new adassa audio Warlord amplifier. This amplifier is designed to push out Maximum output at low voltage. With linkable capabilities run at 18 volts will give you 14,000 watts RMS. We are currently building an extreme vehicle which will have all adassa audio products in it. The batteries will be power master batteries and we will try to bring the van out this year, if not, then it will be next year. It's all about being in the winning circle. Pictures will be coming soon so watch this space............ Here are some specs: cant wait to see how they do. here is the concept of the case i designed that it is going to have as soon as they start mass producing. 6. heres some pics of the 18s im gonna be using. they arent by anymeans anything compared to the MT but they will do just fine. DCFN0014.JPG_thumb DCFN0015.JPG_thumb
  7. hope you dont get disappointed. this is bout the only forum i am on that people actually use 18's!!! i guess i joined the right forum.
  8. HAHAHAHA great advice. ;D a word from the wise!
  9. alright ive already made a few posts but i figured i would introduce myself. im a 21 yr old soldier in afghanistan right now :- haha. I am from Lafayette, Indiana. and i drive a 2000 escalade and a 2003 Suzuki GSXR 600. but i found this forum through steves sig on termpro. i figured id give it a look because ive been a huge fan of the tahoe since i seen it on ROE. made me decide to go with 4 18's with about 8800 watts RMS roughly. so far i really like this forum. not too big so its not filled with a bunch of useless information and people spammin threads. i love the project pictures people post up here. a great help for a noob like myself. ill be refering to alot of people on here when i get back and start my install. im still unsure about if i wanna go with a wall with 4 18's or a box similar to the HOE!!!! the reason im unsure is because i dont have measurement of my escalade so i dont know how large the cargo area is and i dont know the size different between the hc2400 and the 2150's. i seen how steve fit 4 across but dont know if i can fit my 4 hc2400s across. when install time comes around ill make sure to post a thread of my work day by day. im starting my escalade from scratch so its gonna take awhile but luckily i have some friends that are willing to help. ME
  10. ill be a ground pounder in about 3 months. or at least be in the process of installing.
  11. this box is a great piece of artwork man. alot of work and it turned out great. about how many days total did u spend working on it? counting lettin the resin and stuff dry. just curious what i should be expecting. im doin my whole install from scratch and as soon as i seen this box on ROE i wanted to do something similar with a changable port for either spl or daily. great idea. very few times have i seen a setup that the ports can be changed besides some of the changable aeroports.oh and i have a question about your batteries. i have 4 kinetik hc2400s i was wondering how the length difference is on ur odessy's compared to the hc2400's. im not sure if i could fit 4 across or not.keep up the great work. love the escalade EXT. that box is another piece of art. an expensive one at that haha.
  12. AIM- delphithugg YIM- delphi_ghetto_cowboy MSN- [email protected] hit a pimp up haha
  13. thx for the warm welcome. yah i think ill be runing around 16v daily though and up it to 17v for competition. but i would gladly accept those plans from you. the box seems to be doing you very well. but yah i feel ya on the iraq subject haha. afghanistan is gettin pretty bad here lately but nothing compared to iraq. but ill make sure to keep everyone updated on the install of my vehicle. never knew how much fun car audio was untill i learned and read in depth in it. plus never knew how expensive it was gonna be to run this much power lol. it will be worth it. watched the video's and was like thats what i wanna do.
  14. so i was wondering if anybody has had any personal experience with the MA Audio HK802sx amp? or if anybody knows of anybody that has ran them. they are rated at 4400 x 1ohm at 17v which i plan to be running 16-17v daily. i know they take an ass load of current to from what ive been reading i just didnt know if anybody has seen them around and if so how well did they work? i have 2 of them i plan on running with 4 18" 1800xl subs in the back of my 2000 escalade. input would be greatly appreciated. i know i probably wont get any replys back because this amp has been used very far and between because of how much current it pulls. but hopefully i can find someone on a forum that uses them. right now im in afghanistan and have a little over 2 months left and as soon as i get back im gonna be starting my install. im still contiplating to do a wall or a box below the window line.
