    Im gonna be using a (2) 12" alpine type r's in a ported box tuned to about 35 hrz that has 1.8 cubic ft. for each sub I know they recommend up to 1.75 cubic ft. will these subs still perform well in this enclosure?

    enjoy, I already ordered the eclipse cd7100 its got 8v output I just could use one of them line drivers for my old alpine for the ol ladies car.

    I got a quick question, when using my 4 channel for my front and rear speakers what do I do with the head unit speaker wires? Should I put resistors or something on them or crimp something on them? Any help would be great. thanks,dan

    yeah that sucks that alpine dont make higher output preamps I was thinking the the whole time my 9853 was 4volt lol I love their decks but I wont purchase another alpine until they come out with higher preamps I hope this new eclipse works and sounds good for me.

    thanks guys I will check out some of the pioneers and the eclipse models I have always had alpine decks so I want to try something new.

    ok is this a pretty good one? Eclipse CD5000, I thought the 8v ones would be very expensive but this sseems very reasonable. thanks for looking and the info on the eclipse decks, would it be ok to have my trantula amp use 8 v and my alpine set at 4v with this deck?

    I'm using the alpine 9853 now but it only is 2v preamp output. I'm looking to buy a good hu with 4v preamp outputs front,rear,sub any suggestions? I'm using the alpine MRD-f345 for 5x7 type r's and 6x9 type r's if that helps I like the eq on mine but i just need more output.

    so do you think i should run the ground to the battery or can ground it in my trunk?

    I'm confused by the owners manual of my amp it says for amps over 300 watts run the ground all the way to the battery. That cant be right wouldn't there be alot of feedback from such a long ground? If anyone knows why they say that please let me know. thanks,dan
