  1. got ya, I will try 0dB first. Then maybe -2.5db.
  2. So at 0dB the amp is doing its full rms rating correct? I want as loud as I can safely go without clipping everything to hell.
  3. being that the kappa tweeters and the components both have a crossover should I still set the high pass crossover on the amp?
  4. the kappas have a crossover as well as the pioneer component. The amp has a punch boost that works as a 12.5k eq when in high pass mode should I even touch that?
  5. I have a rockford p300x2 running a pair of infinity kappa tweeters that say 50 watt rms and a pair of pioneer ts-D1730C 60 watt rms soon to be sundown sa 6.5csv2 .. with the dd1 currently would I be ok with the -5db track?
  6. Got my first OM-1 a few days ago! Got it put in today to test it out, set it with the dd1 now real time monitoring of my subwoofer amps. Planning to purchase 3 more. Thanks for a awesome device Steve!
  7. its a Sundown scv 1500 on stock electric with big 3. -5db really lights up the clipping light so I went with -2.5db .. Should -5 40hz be OK with that electric?
  8. Amp is set with a dd1 at 40hz -2.5 db pioneer hu does not clip at 39 out of 40. Set with remote bass control set at max. With volume at 39 and remote at 75% I get some flashing at 100% a little faster flash of clipping but never really soild flashing. So should it be safe?
  9. I don't have a high voltage system. I can't get that 1500 to 1700 watts out of my saz 1200 but from what I have seen the scv 1500 would do its rated 1500 watts maybe more on a 12 volt system.. That's why honestly I feel like the scv 1500 might yeld my set up slightly more out put . but still not rushing to get one yet.. But a saz 1500 to a scv 1500 idk I would like to see Jacobs side by side comparison on a 12 volt out put with say the saz 1200 and up to the scv and show the difference.. Heck if its worth it I'll take one..
  10. From what I have only heard please don't hold me to this ... Is the new scv 1500 is basically a saz 1200 .. The saz 1200at max voltage was out putting close to 1700 rms so Jacob said it could have been called a 1500 watt amp... For us customers that's awesome its only rated at 1200 more wattage for less money.. The scv 1500 is the same size spec as the saz 1200... I own a saz 1200 and asked my Sundown dealer if I went to the scv 1500 on my two d4 sa12's would I benefit I was told not at all.
  11. its a huge difference in sound more then I should have to set my balance for. I honestly dont believe the amp was ever sent to Rockford.
  12. I only painted the Rockford logo and doing that did and can't hurt the amps working...I had to contact the better business bureau . sonicelectronix warranty does not specific cosmetic changes to void warranty.. They pick and choose words to void warranty.. They told me and the BBB that it would be sent to Rockford for repair.
  13. warranty work I was told was done by Rockford Fosgate. Sonic said they sent it to them.. It was sent back to me in a plan brown box I shipped in the factory box tool paper work set up CD all in there.. And I find it hard to believe Rockford didn't include any paper work on what parts was replaced or what they found.
  14. What amp and what ohm load? Rockford 300 ohm load 2ohm stereo... Ohm load is not present when testing with dmm .. Looking at a dmm gain chart with the voltage difference between the two channels ball park 30 to 50 watts off... No one is going to convenience me that this is normal..
  15. With that much difference between the two channels its around 35- 40 watts so very audible difference on mids up front.. Its defeating having a smd dd1 to get the most out of my system when I have to tone down because one channel is higher or lower.
  16. that the problem man its a two channel amp it only has one gain.
  17. So when I set my gain with the dd1 on one channel distortion free and move to the other channel and its solid red distortion I shouldn't worry and just blow that speaker to hell?
  18. Well got the amp back today and still has the same problem. Still a very large gap of voltage between the two channels... 2.3 volt difference between right and left channel.. I bought a new exact same amp from a local dealer and its only 0.6 difference... With 2.3 you can definitely hear the difference is this what you pay for with sonic and Rockford now?
  19. on my sundown 1200d I set for 80hz and sundown them self said the spot it was set at looked on the money, but now on my kicker zx1000. 1 80hz on the dial is about where 100hz or better would be I sent the picture to kicker they said no way that's correct . I set both using red to + black to - speaker. The kicker amp is nasty at what the cc1 is setting for 80hz .
  20. OK so red to speaker + but would it make a difference doing black to speaker - instead of ground?
  21. definitely I'm over the 50 questions. People can't understand I was only really looking for a response from sonic or someone's response with a similarly warranty info that has sent back with sonic.. I sent no disrespect at sonic at all. I'm done ..... Unless its sonicelectronix I will not respond to anyone else about this....
  22. how is just asking a question putting someone on blast? I understand loyalty to a company or brand but being a little to fast to jump someone's ass because thay ask a question is a little fanboy.
  23. right I'm not rushing them to send me one or something just wanted to know what might be done.. Heck if they tell me two weeks to a month then at lest I know and can order a new one somewhere..
  24. man I loved the hx2 sub's I dont know if the newer stuff is still the same miss the hell out of them sub's ...
