the recover mode gives a battery an extremely low charge rate. We have recovered batteries here and it take as long as 2 weeks. This was an extreme case however.

something to keep in mind about any AGM battery is maintenance. Having them sit around in a discharged state (below 12.6V) is damaging on a battery and that is where the resistance buildup in the battery takes place. the most simple thing to do is monitor a stored or hardly used battery every 6 weeks to make sure the voltage is above mentioned. The recovery mode in the PSC chargers is there for batteries that have low voltages and have been setting for quite some time. if proper maintenance is kept up with I wouldn't recommend needing this feature.
One a side note we have used the recovery mode on a few occasions here at the warehouse on some older batteries and was able to bring them back to usable working order in about 2 weeks time. (this battery was bad off when first received)

an insulation kit as these guys have mentioned would be your safest option for a long battery life. Our batteries are rated for temps of 140 degrees. Anytime you can keep a battery cool or protected from extreme heat the longer life it will have.

The D7500 would be perfect for a 2k setup. especially if you run both AGM batteries together.

as long a it is mounted securely then it is safe to mount it anywhere you would like!

an isolator can be use when one battery is an AGM and the other is a Flooded cell. particularly when the flooded cell is an older battery. as the resting voltages of the 2 batteries will differ.

If you want a good charge into the battery then we would suggest the charge voltages be at 16.5-16.8 volts on your alternator. charging at 15.8 would be the equivalent of say 13.6v on a 12v charging system. this wouldn't be ideal overtime for the battery .

Our chargers have a peak voltage of 19.2 volts at the absorption phase and 18.08v during float mode.

A dry cool place on a shelf would be recommended. If not willing to leave on a maintainer 24/7, we would suggest checking the resting voltage every 4 to 6 weeks to maintain proper battery voltage to ensure your battery is healthy when returning to your vehicle.

as far as damaging the battery this should not hurt it

If the battery has been punctured the battery will quickly and eventually die when the electrolyte inside dries up. so it will not be able to hold a charge or charge up for that matter.

Ill do a short intro on myself, I started working fo XSPower about 3 months ago, Nathan has ventured into other opportunites so i will be looking over the threads and helping and answering everyones product questions. (if someone doesnt beat me to it), the forum members seem to respond fairly quickly haha.
