measurements I'm going with are 16Hx36Wx28D it's going to give me 7.35 after sub displacement, i have room to play with depending on which way i go as far as sub and port positioning.
-
to be honest,i have never built a slot port.i asked around about paying some one to design one and was told i didn't have enough room for a slot port . i know i have enough room for areos,so figured just go for what i know how to do.as far as cutting the rear deck,I'm really not wanting to do that just yet.trying to keep the stock look, but that was a good idea brotha.

subs back ports back is def the way to go,but i just dont have enough room on the baffel for six four inch aeros and two 15 inch subs.only have about 42'' from side to side.
-
yeah it does suck,my seats have two bolts at the base of the seat and three slots at the top.i have the room i need in the trunk thats not going to be a issue just debating on wich way to fire the ports.

building a box for two 15 DC LVL4 15's, using aero ports.should i do subs up port's to the rear,or should i fire the subs to the rear and the ports to the drivers side fire wall?subs are going into a 07 impala, the seats don't fold down.just wondering wich way would give me better output. normaly i would just fire everything back twords the trunk lid but not enough room.was also thinking subs up ports up,thats the way i had it in my last car and it sounded great, but the seats in that car folded down not sure that it would sound as good in this one.

steve doesn't use dc subs,he uses ascendant audio. if you go back to the main page on the forum and srcoll down a bit to the smd partners you will find all the cotact info for all the be for mentioned companies.hope this helps.

like kranny said there allot of underground companies out there just do some research and ask questions. i personally went through the same thing when i found this forum, people were talking about amps and subs i never hered of . i was a Rockford fanatic and i still think highly of there products, but i took a chance on what i was reading here and I'm glad i did.if you want to bang on a budget you can you just need to do some research.

not a good idea to mix sub's, if you like Sony you should stick with Sony.the P'2s are nice sub's but if your going with punch try the p3's, i had a set of p3 12's and they sounded real good but than i found DC and never looked back. there are allot of good affordable subs out there you should shop around be for you make a decision on punch.i think you could probably get two dc LVL 3's and a fosgate t1500/1bd or a AQ1200 for your price range.

i had the same problem with my 05 sonata,in order for me to get my LVL4 15's in the trunk i had to fiberglass the spare tire well and make a two piece box.that's an idea for ya,it's either that or build a two piece box and put it together once you have it in the trunk. or like you said be for you could just piece a box together in the trunk.it's a sacrifice we all make for the beat game.

I think 40 would be plenty for everything in the trunk
thanks allot for the info guy's, now i can put an order together.
-
40 sq feet should be enough for just your trunk.
ok. thank's,so i will need a little more if i want to do the trunk lid as well?

i have an 07 impala, wondering how much damplifier pro i would need to do my trunk and trunk lid. not sure if a trunk pack would be enough or would i need a bulk pack?
-
if i were to use a 8" or 10" port would flaring the ends be necessary? i know that flares improve air flow and help port noise but box is going in the trunk, how bad would not using flares be.i have seen plenty of people just use tubes, would the size of these ports be a factor for using flares?
anyone?

thank's alot brotha...

can't find my spec sheet , does anyone know the displacement on a LVL4 15? i think it's .18 but can't remember.

o.k. i got ya, thanks for the info. I'll give it some thought i like the idea of a single port versus going with multiples.just haven't really ever done anything like that befor.

where would i find a 8" or 10" areo? does psp make them, or is there another company that i could buy them from?
-
o.k. , thanks for the help all. going to give it a shot.

so your saying that i should use three 6" areos for the pair of 15's ?this is going to be a daily not realy going for numbers.
-
looking for some advice, working on a new box for two lvl 4 15's.previous box was 7.5 cubes tunned to 33 Hz. using four 4" psp areo's.subs were being powered by two jl1000/1's in the trunk of a sonata.
just got a new car a 2007 Chevy impala building a box right around the same size, thinking of using 6" areos instead of the 4". wondering if two 6" areo's will be enough or should i just stick with the 4"?also will be using same amps for now but will be upgrading soon any help on this will be greatly appreciated .
i need a box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
