thanks for all the input fellas, one more question just put another three layers of mat on thats going to be four layers and two layers of woven cloth . when will it be safe to pull mold from the trunk so i can get it to my work bench and finish it?

hi everyone i am tubbing out my spare tire well the car is 2005 Hyundai sonata i will be building a mdf enclosure over the tub, just laid down my first two layers of mat/cloth. i packed it up for today all the bending into the trunk is killing my back any way my question is will i need to sand the tub down a Little be for i continue tomorrow or can i just go ahead and continue where i left off.sorry for the noob question but first time working with glass.oh almost forgot it's Elmer's resign from Lowe's.

Ive had a pair of p3's for a little over a year and have been very happy with them, i haven't used the type r's but i have hered good things about them . i guess it all boils down to a preference but if you can get the p3s for under a hundred it sounds like a deal to me.

even if i did go a Little tighter on the box i would still need to use the well , need room for equipment. not allot of room in the o5 sonata.

thanks to every one who chimed in on this i really appreciate it, the well in my car isn't round at all it's more of a horse shoe shape with allot of dips and dives so i think what I'll do is just frame it out the best i can and go from there. never really worked with fiber glass be for so this is going to be interesting.

just tore out my old system and am getting ready for my new build, I'm getting ready to build a encloser for two d.c. lvl4 15's . my car is a 2005 Hyundai sonata don't have a lot of room width wise in the trunk so i will be incorporating the spare tire well into my sub box . what is the best way for getting a good idea of getting the cubic foot measurement of air space inside the well? i think i read on here that the best way is to use a one cubic foot box of styro foam peanuts and just count how many it takes to fill up the well is this right ?

if you are only running one amplifier to push your subs and that is working fine than you need to pull out your Head unit and check the harness,it's not probable that you knocked all the speaker wires loose it's more likely that something inside the radio came loose but you need to check for any loose connections be for assuming this .

what type of set up do you have? if you bottomed out as hard as you said you did it more than likley is a loose ground or power wire. start there check all your connectios befor you look ant ferther chack all your fuses as well.

you should be o.k. for a now but you should do the big three if nothing else, not sure what car you have but let me tell you it makes a big difference. upgrading your electrical even if your just doing the big three allows your electrical system to work allot easier and also makes things easier on your amp/amps just an all around good idea.

x2 to what was mentioned above, a four channel amp is the way to go in your case and there are plenty well built four channel amplifiers by different manufactuers , there not that expensive and don't demand allot from your charging system. your next option would be to buy a better head unit that gives you more power from it's speaker outputs, some radios give you 25 watts or more but they are costly.

a friend of mine just ordered some of the crystal from knu , i was looking them over they seem to be put together really well i was just wondering how the two compare.

not for these particular series , they are the same price as the crystal from knu . i found them on e bay for 14.99 free shipping .

has anybody used monster cable i201 xln , and if so how would you compare them to knukonceptz crystal rca ? thinking of using one of these two in my new set up . I've used monster in the past and was real happy with it but that was awhile back not sure about them now.

looking for 1200 to 1500 wats rms . budget is a tight one three or 250-300 maby a little more , i know it's going to be hard to find clean power on this kind of money.

doing a build for two dc lvl3 15's d4 coils , i have two fosgate p-550's that i was going to use but i forgot to ask rusty for the 2 ohm coils . i was going to use one amp on each sub but thats that. anyway the build is for a friend of mine and now he is in need of an amp to run the15's, was looking at some of the hifonics amps and the power acoustic just not real familiar with them haven't used them be for personally and he's on a budget so does anyone have recommendations?

the manuals only instruct you on basic multi or bi amp systems , don't need to know this info already am familiar with it but thanks for the suggestion . i have an idea of how to add the amplifier into the mix if anything it's all trial and error. just thought that some of the more experienced guy's on here might lend a word of advice to simplify thing's.

when spliting the signal off the rca with a y spliter does that work for stero or will this give me a mono signal? just wondering because mono not going to work for componets.
