  1. With car audio, you are better off knowing what kind of voltage your amp is seeing, than what the alt is putting out. It does no good to know your alt is putting out 14v, but your amp is probably getting 12.8v because you have a bad wire. This is where having dual voltage gauges helps. You can read the output of your alt, and the input to the amps. Can help to spot wiring troubles. With multi-amp systems, you can monitor at the closest distribution block that serves all amps.
  2. I'm going to say the Gravity will do 1394... Is this going to be "Closest to the pin" or exact #? Look for an amp brand called Tezla.... I'd love to see what one of those does.... conisdering I'm running the 1500W version...
  3. Any thoughts on making a horizontal or vertical bar version? I love the concept of the VM-1 (going to be ordering one hopefully on Wednesday), but the size makes it a bit difficult to find a place in my Passat to mount it. I was thinking a horizontal bar graph style would be a compact design for tight spaces... Though I just had a thought! Mount it to the visor! Then you can flip it down when you need to see it, and flip it out of the way when you don't!
  4. Is there a way to dim the display on the VM-1? That is one of the issues I have with the cheap One Hung Lo brand meters, the display is too bright for night use.
  5. Thank you! That's mostly what I was looking for. From watching some videos on YouTube, I assume the meter breaks down fairly easily.
  6. Hmmm... very tempting offer... I love how the VM1 works... the movement is a lot more "fluid" than the digital meter. Question is: Can I get the dimensions of the device so I can see if I can make it work. I have a great spot to put one, but I want to make sure I can actually fit it in place first.
