Cats are ok (we have 5). But I hate it when cat hair gets in my food.

On the amp dyno does the RCA signal go into it? Or straight from the deck to the amp?
-
Oh ok I wonder if Tony D has heard of this?
-
1.8 volts might not be enough to make the amp stages saturate. It's like having an 8v output head unit but only turning it up a little bit. Apparently the amp needs a higher input level than most. Get a preamp eq or better head unit to jack the signal up.

We are beating a dead horse. This has got to be the longest vs thread ever. Anyone else with a legit vs question gets smacked. Just sayn.

Cool! I just looked at the specs. It says the woofer is crossed over at 2khz and the tweeter at 4khz. Is this gap noticeable in the mid range as it looks like it would be missing? Everyone seems to think these sound good so it must not be an issue. This would be perfect for me to take to work if it were a little more rugged.

Dang! They took the wheel motors and everything! lol

It's fun to buy another amp and install it. Maybe get another identical amp and strap them together?

I am lost. I was trying to figure this out yesterday. Where do I sign up for supporting member?

If you want to mess with him, find where he parks and add 3 gallons of gas to his tank. lol

I want these for my doors!

What frequency are you tuning to?
-
It depends on how peaky the box is too I guess. A big ported box will have a lot of peak and a smaller ported box will tend to be flatter.
-
Tuned to35hz it will play 35 real good and everyhing else will sund about half as loud. If you were to listen to a song that has bass around 50hz, you would be saying " where did the bass go?". Sure it wil still play 50 but it wont bang like 35.
-
If you want it to bang the high bass as well as the low bass then that would be hard to do with a port. The SQ can be lost real quick with a port that can peak as much as 5db. It sounds like what you want is a sealed box for a nice flat response and gradual roll off. It wont be as loud as ported so it will need alot of power. Everything is a trade off. I am in the same boat with my HDS315s port tuned to 34hz. It just dosent bang the high bass like my old sealed box but it really smashes the lows. I am planning to add four 10s for some upper bass kick and have been told repeatedly that this is wrong but i have done it in the past with good success.

You should use that Pride sub so it can double as a foot rest.

For the same amount of power, cone area is king.
