That's exactly what I needed to see. I found a used bezel online for 30 bucks, now I can order it and hack it up.

Cool I was kinda figuring it had holes in the back plate but I couldn't find any pictures. My only dash spot has a traditional dial clock in it. I really don't need that clock so I can remove it and widen the hole to rear mount if I want. The outer face tho is almost identical dimension to the assembled meters.

I'm trying to decide on a mounting point for voltage and output meters. I have one space that's literally 2.7x2.7 that I could mount on the surface, or I could remove the vm 1 from the case and rear mount in. My question tho is what kind of mounting hardware does it have or need to surface mount to a dash bezel and other areas like the headliner?
