Never said car audio was about blowing subs.... not once said that.... I just heard that AB HD could handle 2.5k a piece and simply put that isn't true!!!
Man they weren't clipping... just threw 5k rms at the sucka and pop/sizzle/crackle was all I got. It was nice trying them out since I've heard sooooo much positive about AB. Now it's time to try SSA Evils out.
clipping = amplifier is overdriven and attempts to deliver an output voltage or current beyond its maximum capability but not once did this happen. The higher the voltage to my amp, the higher the rms will go up.
I think the 5,470 rms watts I was giving them was too much. They looked like they were hurting from that much power. I guess I'll order some SSA Evils and see how they hold up
The subs still move but sound like a piece of paper moving behind them instead of regular sounding bass. I have 4 d3100 batteries and 1 duralast battery. Can't be clipping.
