    4th order bandpass help?

Ill be running a twisted sounds 3.5k with a 320 amp alt and 2 batteries so I have good voltage i basically want it to have as much output without losing bandwith thats why i wanted to try a 4th order
  3. So I have been trying to calculate my first 4th order for 2 orion hcca 10s. I have started with having a seperate sealed chamber for each sub with 0.625 cuft each and a common ported chamber of 2.5 cuft tuned to 45hz. I was just wondering how much port area I would need? Also if the airspace would be fine? Also I went for a 2:1 ratio since that was pretty common, what would be the advantage of going to a bigger ratio like a 3:1? Ive heard these subs like smaller enclosures so I didnt want to get to big. Thanks!
  4. i had one more question. wiring like that i wouldent have to use the passive crossovers correct?
  5. Ok thank you so much i appreciate the help
  6. Thank you so much, how could i wire what i have to my amp? wire the 4 tweeters to 2 channels and the 4 mids to 2 channels?
  7. Hello, so my first time installing components. I have tweeters that came with passive crossovers. I was wondering how they work with the amps crossovers and filters. I was also wondering if I wire the tweeters to the mids parallel to each channel. I have a ampere 150.4, alphard audio 6.5s, and crescendo sts-1 tweeters. Both tweets and mids are 4 ohm so parallel gets me to 2 ohm at 225w rms on my amp. I will be running a 6.5 and tweeter in each door wired to a seperate channel. Thanks!

    Box help?

Was wondering if you could help me out. Im trying to come up with a design for two NVX VCW 12s but all the calculators I used come out with diff results... I will be running on 2k NVX suggests 32hz with 1.85 cubes per sub, I would like them to play as low as possible without losing much output, my max space is 34"wide 23"depth 15"height would like the port in center between subs and on the same side as the subs thanks for your time.
  9. Hello, Im looking to get a box design for 2 NVX VCW 12s from specs it says they like lower tuning and around 1.5 to 1.85 cubes per sub. with that in mind id like to tune to 30/32hz also i have good electrical that never dips below 13.5, i will get at least rated 2k if not more my max room is 15.5" tall,34"wide,23" deep thanks!
  10. Problem is i have limited space my trunk is small i have my box in there now at 4cuft net and it is about all i got
  11. Net volume 4cuft port area is around 65sqin running 2k on good electrical
  12. running 2 sa 12s in a box tuned to 34 hz but it dies off at like 28hz and it is loudest around 40
  13. Ok thanks im just thinking... ive ran 2 12s in my trunk forever and was wanting to get more lows didnt know if im better off sticking with 2 12s and changing tuning or if a single 15 would be better to achieve lower frequencys
