Nice build log and nice box, man. I got hooked when I saw the 6th order. How does it play? Are there any design features you'd do differently?

Maintenance sucks but break-downs are worse. All good in my book.

Have you confirmed DC resistance of all the speakers wired together at the amp (what the amp sees)?

The D3100 and D3400 are the same overall width (6.81 vs 6.75, respectively... lets call it 6+7/8 bc busbar)
Heres the D3400 under the hood showing the two values that were posted earlier:
Heres my D3100 in the back thats actually on a bus:
Heres the post-to-post distance:
Hope that helps man! I know how it is getting ahead before parts come. Makes the install much quicker once the critical components arrive.

Short side 1+3/16
long side 5+11/16
total width 6+7/8
hole to hole of two parallel mounted batteries: 6+7/8
I bet you'll notice once you start working with it.
-
Right. So the short edge-to-post dimension on the first battery plus the long edge-to-post dimension on the sefond battery is the same total distance as the width of the single battery. So your post to post hole spacing equals the individual battery width
-
Was about to measure the distance for you to determine hole to hole spacing, but realized its just the width of the battery. Anyways, the short side is 1+3/16". Ill post a pic later since file size is too big to post direct.

Hey man, Ill let you know when i get home in an hour or so.

Tribe, you posted about an SCV-7500 a few weeks back, right? Are you still going to run that amp? Skippy mentioned (2) 10s.
-
Hey what vehicle are you building on?
-
It depends on what frequencies youre sending to each speaker. You can either use the amp's crossovers or setup external passive crossovers to split the frequencies to each speaker appropriately. Or use a DSP. Although, I dont see the point in sending the same frequency bands to two different speaker sizes.

I dont think you'd need a 4ch tweeter amp with only 4 tweeters. If you went two pair of 4ohm tweets per channel (each pair wired together in parallel, so only 2 channels being used), you could wire the channels down to 2 ohm each. But then you'd have two more channels unused in that config with the 4ch amp.
If you need a tweeter amp just get a small 2ch amp. Most tweets are 4ohm or higher, so just wire each set in parallel (left and right).
How were you planning to wire all those mids to the 4ch?

No way.

Pic from first page is gone. Anyone have it saved?

Can I get my name changed to WalledSonic?
Thank you.

Yeah its a dice roll, completely depends on what ads you get when you open the page. I couldnt read the forum in bed the other night so just went to sleep instead... BOOOO! haha

My experience:
5 weeks to ship an SCV-6000D. Got it on Halloween sale (10% off), but Black Friday sale was even better (25% off). Since the 6K was taking longer than he expected, he offered a refund on the difference (15%) but I requested an SAE-1500D instead. He is honoring the 'free' SAE-1500D, but I am on week 6 waiting for it to ship.
I havent been in a rush since I'm still building my wall, so I've been cool with the wait.
