  1. Report the phone lost (not stolen), and have it deactivated. Buy the cheapest replacement phone they have, and keep that line active so you won't have to pay for the cancellation. If the G/F doesn't want to pay you back for the bill she ran up on purpose, don't let her have it back. If she pays you back, don't let her have the replacement till she signs a usage contract. She doesn't trust you, and she's just proven she can't be trusted. I hate to break it to you, but hot or not, it's only going to get worse. If she thinks you're cheating, it's going to cost you, over and over.
  2. I learned early how not to talk to cops. Now I haven't had a moving violation in 23 years (knock on wood), and the last two times I was pulled over for speeding, they had me dead to rights, I was busted at 15 and 20 over, and by being honest and nice, I was given a warning both times. One of the cops was a state trooper, he was an absolute asshole, and I just kept being nice. As much as I might have wanted to be an asshole right back at him, I held it back, and ended up being treated right because of it. I started teaching my son the same thing long before he could drive. There's no point in trying to out-jerk a cop, you're going to lose. Another thing to keep in mind is that there are still plenty of departments with no dash cams, and there are plenty of old-school cops that can be pushed into an old-school beatdown. About 9 years ago, I got pulled over in Texas on a profile stop. I'd been in Austin to get my best friend's internet mistake packed up and to drive her stuff back to Olympia, Washington. Once I flew back to Texas, I loaded my Neon back up and headed for home. I saw the trooper before he started moving, and could tell from the way he was watching that I was going to get popped for something. I wasn't speeding, my car was completely legal, and both the troopers in the car thought they were going to catch me in some kind of lie. They "knew" the computers in the trunk of my car had to be stolen (I had the ebay printout from where I bought them), they "knew" I actually lived in Texas and was driving illegally (not true), they "knew" I'd put a sticker from another license plate on my car (again wrong), and they "knew" everything I was saying to them was a lie. What did I do? I handed the keys over and invited them to look through everything in the car. Open the glovebox, dig through the trunk, bring out a dog, whatever they needed to satisfy them I was legitimate. Call my wife, in Arkansas, and ask her. Whatever you need to check on me, please do, I'm just tired and want to get home. By the time I drove away, we were all laughing. A lot of cops have everything to be paranoid while they're on the job. They get lied to all day long, and that wears on you. Be honest, be up-front, and don't be defensive. Treat most cops with respect, and it will pay off for you. BTW, don't drive with no insurance. You'd already lost the game at that point. You're lucky you live in a place where they let you get your car out of impound after that violation.
  3. I'm going to mount a pair of Mpyre 65Ms in my doors, and I need to space them out to the edge of the door pockets to clear the glass. I'll have to do some measuring, but they'll need to be somewhere around 2.5"- 3" thick.
  4. I have a new in the box Hafler MSE104 sub for sale. The sub is mint, and it's never been powered or installed. It has the old Hafler white frame, paper cone, foam surround, and a single 4 ohm voice coil. The box is beat to death. Hang this sub on your wall, or install it in your Grand Am and it'll be just like 1990 all over again. $35 shipped CONUS.
  5. I have three Hafler 4 channels for sale, one is an MSE-80di, and the other two are MSE-88tns. All three work, the 88tn that's currently in my car was literally new old stock till December when I took it out of the shrink wrap and installed it in my Tercel. It's been lightly used, powering a pair of DLS R4s and a pair of Aura MR52s. It comes with a beat to death original box (with Fosgate tissue paper) and the speaker harness. There's a chip/ding on one of the fins that was there when I got it from Hafler several years ago. It'd be easy to touch up. $150 shipped CONUS, USPS money order preferred, but I can probably do PayPal as well. The second MSE-88tn I got used, but it's very nice cosmetically and works fine. It doesn't have the speaker harness, but they are available for $8. This one is $100 shipped CONUS. The MSE-80di isn't quite as nice as the others, but again, it'd touch up easily. I don't do that when I'm selling equipment, I'd rather be honest about the condition so everybody's happy. This one also works fine, and it also needs the $8 speaker harness. $100 shipped CONUS. If you want all three, I'll take $325 shipped. I'd also consider a trade straight across for a Premier DEH-P800PRS (not P880), or partial trades for Zed-built US Acoustics or Aura MR series amps. I also need an MDF stack made to space my Mpyres in my front doors. Or, there's a hundred bucks worth of stuff I need from a dealer, if you want to pay for that in exchange for one of the $100 amps.
  6. Done, thanks for the deal and the heads-up!
  7. I recently bought an Alpine CDA-9833 head unit from Audiofanaticz. His communication was excellent, the deck was shipped exactly when he said it would be, and I received it in just a few days. This is the smoothest transaction I've ever had on a car audio board. Highly recommended!
