They weren't a good seller. Plus nobody wanted to spend the cash to get the kit then get mad because it only fit OUR specific alternators..

This kit is discontinued.

I would try posting in the amp and sub section for that advice. I just know how to power it up

I would go for a good AGM in the stock location and another small AGM in the back for reserve

Not with the factory regulator. The alternator would have to be converted to an external regulator. Then you would have the capability to adjust the voltage from 14v to 19V. Keep in mind the amperage will stay the same. The alternator in your vehicle is rated to 110 amps. What kind of power demands do you have?

The factory regulator is not compatible with the AVBM

That would be a sign of belt slip. Did you get a Premium quality 1/2 inch shorter belt for the install of your alternator? What condition is the tensioner how old ?

From the sounds of it, the stock alternator would work if all you are trying to do is run a small device.
Fuse between alt and batt
in MechMan Alternators and 12v Accessories

IF the battery is in the rear of the vehicle then yes .. if not then it should be fine without a fuse between the alternator and battery
