  1. you would be surprised how much power you can support with one of our 170 amp units, especially with the right size battery bank. I have run 6K WRMS pretty well with a single 170 amp unit and 4 batteries...

And as far as the boost module being "worth" it, that really depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If you are trying to reduce voltage drop under heavy load, it will not do much for that. If you are trying to squeeze every last watt out of your amplifiers by operating at a slightly higher charging voltage, or increase voltage to properly charge 14 volt batteries, it will work great for that.

  2. We are having showtime audio produce a more professional video of it, we post that up when he finishes it.

We will also change out the alternators to our 370 amp Elite series unit vs. one of our competitor's "380 amp / 200 amp at idle" AD244 based units as well. That will show a pretty dramatic difference at idle as well... We will bring that setup to a couple audio shows so people can play with it themselves in person.

  3. 6 phase Billet-Tech alternators offer more low RPM output than any other standard on the market, period. This unit features cutting edge 6 phase hairpin stator technology for incredible durability and high RPM stability. Instead of a single rectifier assembly, this unit features TWIN rectifiers and twice as many diodes to spread out the heat, and dramatically increase durability. This unit also uses 15% less horsepower per Kilowatt of energy produced, as compared to other popular brand alternators. If you have poor alternator charging performance at engine idle speeds, low voltage, or pre-mature alternator failure due to RPM or heat, a Billet-Tech alternator is the solution. In addition to fundamentally more efficient technology, this unit also features:
    - Oversized charge post for sturdy cable connections
    - Premium low-drag bearings
    - Ultra-precision balanced rotor for 20,000 rpm capability
    - Twin rectifiers with 12 press fit diodes
    - Hairpin epoxy re-enforced vibration resistant stator
    - Precision pulley machined from bar stock (decorative and custom pulleys sold separately)

  4. The new adjustable voltage boost module is now in stock and shipping!!!

The AVBM II is an easy to install module that plugs into the alternator and allows the user to monitor and adjust charging voltage via the in-car controller. The LED meter is extremely accurate, and easy to read with BLUE led back lighting.

Adjustment range is 14.0 to 19.2 volts, and can be used with 12 volt, 14 volt or 16 volt batteries. The AVBM II can also be custom ordered for multiple or universal style alternators. (additional fees apply for multi-alternator harnesses)

The AVBM II is proudly made in the USA, and comes with a 2 year warranty for just $179 shipped anywhere in the 48 states !!

Currently available for 1985 through 2004 GMs, non PCM controlled Ford 6G alternators, plus many more vehicle applications to come!

  8. Unfortunately we do not offer a dual alternator for Ford. We do offer some compact universal alternators, but the installation of one of these units would of course require you to fabricate your own adapter bracket in order for the alternator to bolt in. Compact universal units are available in 170,240, and 320 amps. We can put whatever pulley and plug on the unit that you require for your vehicle at no additional charge. These units feature our S series 6 phase hairpin stator technology for outstanding output at idle in a relatively small housing that is easy to fit to small engine compartments. You can learn more about the S series internals here: http://www.billetalternator.com/index.php/products/discover-the-6-phase-advantage.html

You can see pricing on the Universal alternators here: http://store.billetalternator.com/universal/

  9. OK, here's the deal guys-

The Standard S series housings for the unit that Reed originally ordered were on back order. Reed's order was getting to be a couple weeks old, and we try to ship everything within 2-3 business days of ordering. We opted to upgrade him to a 250 amp Elite series unit at no additional charge, (as we had those housings in stock) just to try and speed up the delivery of the order. Additionally, we indicated to the customer that once we receive the unit to change the output stid location, we would upgrade it to a 370 amp Elite series at no additional charge. ($200 additional value) The fitment issue was caused because the Elite series unit has a slightly different output stud location than the S series, even though the bolt pattern and everything else is the same. The slightly different output stud location works fine on all the other hundreds of vehicles that this unit fits, but there is a small interference problem on the 2.4L apparently.

Now, we are getting thrown under the bus for not issuing an immediate refund for shipping , when A) we havn't even gotten the unit back yet, and B) we have not been provided with a proper invoice showing what the shipping cost. On top of all that, Reed is claiming that shipping was $40, when it only cost us $18 to ship the unit to him.

I feel as though we have done everything within our power to make it right for the customer, but we have learned over the years that you can't please everyone no matter how hard you try.

REED- If you are dis-satisfied with the customer service you have received so far, we would be more than happy to refund you the total amount for the order, plus your return shipping. (once a proper shipping receipt is provided, and once we receive the unit intact) I wholeheartedly apologize for any inconvenience you have suffered, I just wanted to step in and make sure that all the facts were known if someone is going to create a MechMan-bashing thread.

    regards,

    Matthew
