I have a 250 amp Mechman alternator on my 07 F-150, and I'm wanting to be able to bump up the output voltage. I was wondering if their external adjustable voltage regulator is my only option, or if there's other products that do the same. Not saying I don't want to buy Mechman's product, I just want to know all of my options.
The alternator in your truck is a PCM controlled alternator, and any alternator not plugged into the PCM will at minimum turn on a dash light. I believe that there might be a tuner or two that are available that can turn the light off.
Hope this helps.

Hey guys,
Shopping around for a HO alt and mechman currently isn't listing anything for my Nissan Maxima, so will a universal fit mechman work just fine? Is slim fit necessary or just a compact 6 phase?
Thanks
Sorry if we have not gotten back to you. What year and engine size please and I will try and help out here.
Thanks,
Chris

I got my 370 elite today and it came with a plug that has a long blue wire on it can someone tell me what it is for
Brian-
There would have been instructions that came with the alternator, but in the end that wire just needs to be connected to a 12V switched source. Off with the key off, and on with the key on/ engine running.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Chris

anything on this??
I am double checking. It was an on again, and off again. The one that we did already really took the shop out of the loop for catalog orders.
I will post up a final answer here when I get it.
Thanks,
Chris
Alright the boss and the people have spoken. We are going to work a few of these in to production on a as ordered basis. The build time is on average 1 month, but can take longer based on catalog build demand. These units are universal only and will require custom fabrication to be done by the customer. Cost per unit with out shipping will be 2,495 USD. Shipping will be determined based on zip code.
Hit me up with those orders. [email protected] or 1-888-MECHMAN XT 202.

Here is out newest addition for all of you running that old tired CS144 in your LT1 powered vehicles. This unit is a direct bolt in for all LT1 powered Camaro's, Corvette's, Firebird's, Impala SS, and other's with CS144. This unit will also cover most Buick Regal's.
This beast of an alternator is machined out of a solid block of billet aluminum for strength and better looks over the original cast housing of the CS144. These units use the latest hair pin technology that offer better cooling, and longer life. They come in 250AMP and 370AMP set ups, and in 4 different finishes.

If you do not see fitment for your ride give me a call.

We are proud to introduce our new stylish one wire cast housing alternator for most GM 65-85 vehicles. This alternator features our twin heavy duty internal rectifiers, oversize charge post, billet aluminum overdrive pulley, cutting edge 6 phase hairpin stator technology, and 12 massive diodes. 6 phase technology allows for outstanding low RPM output, in a moderately sized housing that bolts right in to the stock location. We offer this style in 170 amp and 240. All S series units are made in the USA and come with a 2 year warranty. If you have any questions about this or any of our other products feel free to call 888-MECHMAN.

No alt case is silver I think thats what I mean
Let me rephrase the question. Is the alternator externally regulated

I have mechman 340 alt in 2007 jeep cherokee any adj voltage modules available thanks
Does it have the blue box?

If the alternator is an OE alternator from GM yes it will work. If its a "factory replacement" like from a parts retailer it may or may not work

I just read mechman post when I scroll back, this is my first alternator input into 2011 toyota sienna mini van. I use Nation Alternator 260 hp alternator for my other Chevy special order working Box van. All this time I was using only the Denso stock alternator when I bough this car. Nation Alternator last on my Chevy from 2008 and still working! I call mechman and spoke to Brain this morning. He said mechnam give me back my shipping. Now I don't if mechman give me back the $101 he said in the forum or the $68 in which the shipping cost from Hawaii to mechnam for the rite alternator. Brain told me the adjustable voltage modules mechman would send it to me as a trade for the shipping cost in which I spend for. But Brain said that because I post this in the forum, mechman just paid me back for the shipping. I just have to wait for the charge back process. Let see if that will come. He said the adjustable volt modules I have to pay $75 + shipping. That was NOT free stated by mechman. With all this BS from mechman, I just only want my battery charge. THAT IS ALL I NEED!!!!!! I should go with NATION ALTERNATOR. Adams really help me out. He tell me the true!!. In this forum may God be the wittiness between us.
As we concluded the conversation YOU were told VERBATIM.. DONT WORRY ABOUT IT WE WILL REFUND THE SHIPPING TO YOU AND SEND YOU THE AVBM... In other words NO COST TO YOU + YOU WILL GET $ BACK

We have not done full in depth research of all the possible symptoms. Feed back that we have had is just the dash light. Different firmware versions could cause different issues, so I can not say 100%.
Sorry man.
