  1. Awesome, thanks a lot. I think I will figure about .1 cubic feet for all 4 subs combined, because I looked up the RF P2 8's and they are something like .024 per sub and aren't quite as deep as the Ma's, but I assume them to be pretty darn close. I always face the subs back as I have an 02 Impala and they seem to sound best that way. If you could figure out both sealed and ported and see what it says will sound best for each I would appreciate that. If I can get some decent sound out of a smaller than 4 cubes ported box, I may go that route. I will probably go with flared tubes also if I go ported. Thank You Very Much
  2. I don't think I want to mess around with going ported. They want around 1 cubic foot per sub, plus building the port and everything gets a bit more complicated then just building a nice sealed box. Do you have any recommendation on size/port size for a ported box? I have max dimensions of 17x36xD. Having some numbers would be nice way to keep the door open, because I am kinda partial to ported boxes. Thanks A Lot!
  3. I recently decided I wanted to play around with some 8 inch subs just for a little bit of bass, as I have grown out of the really loud expensive bass(for now). So I hop on ebay and find a decent deal on 4 of these Ma Audio 8 inch subs, which I ended up paying $96 for shipped. (MA80XE) Anyway I was wondering if there are any box wizards that could help me design a box for these subs as I would appreciate it very much. I am just looking for a simple sealed box, but the numbers the company has given me are conflicting because they say between .25 and .5 for sealed and then turn around and tell me that optimum size is .65? They also don't tell me the displacement, but I think I will just go with a similar sized sub. Thank You Very Much
  4. Yeah, it seems that the new one is fine, I am using a bit older one, because I hate to have to change all my settings and stuff again, but it is all good. I will just check out the site on a different browser or just deal with it. I should have thought about my browser first thing, because I have quite a few different mishaps like this, but with all the talk of tweaking the new website and all I jumped to conclusions. It is all good though, problem solved, and if I may say the site is pretty kick ass!
  5. Aha! It seems to be my Netscape is the cause of the problem. I checked it out on IE, and it looked just fine. On netscape it seems to make every post short as possible and have a scroll bar.
  6. I don't want to make any further confusion, but your screenshot doesn't look like mine. On my screen I just have 1 line of text for said post, then when I scroll down there is only that 1 line width of visible text and it scrolls through the other 3 lines of text instead of the text staying put and the highlight moving down. Sounds like you guys figured it out anyway though. I don't think it will be a huge problem, but it may confuse some people because the rest of the post doesn't seem to exist. Did that previous post appear to you as a whole paragraph, or was there just the one line of text visible? It seems the "one line" posts are set up on the scroll bars, just like the other posts, the bars just aren't visible to see. Must have something to do with keeping each post as small as possible?
  7. If that didn't get my point across, we must be seeing two different things. I appreciate your patience.
  8. Highlight this line here and then pull down. All you can see right now is one line, but there is much more to this post, if not, maybe it is just my browser maybe? I am not sure how to do a screenshot, I did it once a while ago, but forgot. Let me try to start over here, you probably think I am some sort of retard
  9. If you look at my first post on this followng topic (link further down), it is one line, but if you go to highlight the sentance and then drag the highlighting downward, the rest of my post will scroll through the one line. It seems to only do this if you never press the "enter" button on the keyboard during posting, it seems that once you press the "enter" button once while posting it turns out normal with the whole paragraph showing up as normal. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/forums/in....php?topic=17.0 Get what I mean? I sometimes have a hard time explaining things over the internet.
  10. I know you probably have noticed this, but all you can read is one line at a time. I am constantly highlighting text when I read on the net and notice that the whole post is there, and if you try to highlight the text you can scroll through the text, it just stays as one little "window". But if you press return during your post, it seems to work itself out. Just trying to help out!
  11. Just using a little piggyback from ya Steve, I hope you don't mind. Sorry for link after link, but I am kinda lazy! ;D http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/forum/topic...?TOPIC_ID=24651
  12. My name is right there for you to see, and I am an associate and fan of Mr. Meads from the RF forum.
