  1. Might be looking throw two of thse in a small sealed box powered by a ED NINE.1 amp into my new jeep. Checked the sundown site and i didnt see them on there..am i missing them? Also did you geys ever get these in a car to bang em?
  2. Its hard to try and find anyone around that even sells shallow mounts let alone someone that has some i could listen to. So i may just stick with a normal depth sub. Im going to look into the sundowns. I may just try running one 10 or 12in sub instead of two.
  3. Well just picked up the new whip...2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara edition..loaded up. It has the top of the line infinity navi system..but yes its pretty weak. I know im changing out the front stage and its very muddy and just belnds all the music together. The tweeters mounted on the dash sound like tiny mid range speaker. But the worst is the factory 7in sub in back....just a powered 7in midbass really. So im lookiong to add subs first since i have my ED NINE.1 amp just laying around now. Looking at shallow mount subs because i dont want to put myED 15's in it and kill all the rear storage area. Ive been looking and thinking about the Pioneer shallow mounts...the top of the line ones. Someone suggested the Fosgates...but then I found the Koles.. http://koleaudio.com/products_woofers_mfw.html and they seem pretty promising...and I found them for under 100 bucks brand new. About 130 for the pioneers. So if anyone has any shallow mount experiance im all ears! Thanks, Vince
  4. The engine is the same...slight variations but not much..mainly cam profiles and tune. The compression should be the same..MAYBE a couple tenths off..not much of a difference. Dont bother trying to swap the headsa nd intake with musatng parts...you wont gain anything. If you are trying to gain power I can help you but i need to know how much power and how much money you want to make and spend.. Of course the easiest way is to bolt on a blower. Kenne Bell blowers work great on 4.6 ford truck and suv engine. The provide awesome trq and pwr down low int he rpm range where its needed but still make great power up top in the rpm range. How much power you want to make all depends on how much money you want to spend. Dont bother going to Jegs or Summit...you wont find much there at all thats worth it for the 4.6. You can add cams but be ready to spend at LEAST 600 bucks once on purchase price and install...then you have to get it tuned by a dyno shop/ford ecu tuner who knows what hes doing. If ya need help i can direct you to the proper channels. By the way...be ready for it drinking gas even more if you want to make power.
  5. If you have a 4.6 i wouldnt forget the 351 all together. the fuel system is different as is the transmission. BUT...you can get a 4.6 out of a 99-2004 mustang and pretty much drop it right in. You MUST get one from an automatic mustang and will have to have a chip burned for your vehicle...or get it dyno tuned to make sure all your sensors are working properly. If you dont want to do that find a 4.6 out of a 99 and up stang in a junk yard and grab the upper and lower intake manifold and throttle body, the heads with cams and the exhuast manifolds. Adding the 99 and up mustang heads to your engine bumps your compression up about 1 point to around 10.3 to 1. Now when you do this its a safe bet to have the heads check and cleaned up by a machine shop to make sure they are still flat and done have any problem. with these parts and proper tuning you can make around 280hp at the crank.
  6. Whats the Tech9 song ive heard a bunch of people say bang..I cant rememebr the damn name of it. Anyone have any idea?
