  1. Yeah, not much can fit under the windowline. I've had two 15s & two 18s in mine. Now I'm moving on to six twelves. It's going to be a tight fit with two batteries, two Sundown 3000s, and four front stage amps.

Edit: Wow, just realized I've never posted here...lol.

Are you the guy on the trailblazer forum with the 6 sundown 12s?

  2. In the meantime, take a moment and introduce yourself to the Kanefields and tell them why you choose to run Second Skin. Let's give them a BIG welcome here at SMD!

Welcome...my Second Skin experience started when I had to install a deadening product on my roof (for sanity's sake). I had read a ton of horror stories about failures when using poor quality products on the roof, and that wasn't something that I wanted to go through since pulling my headliner out is a real PITA. After reading a lot of reviews on a couple of forums I went with Damplifier. The results were impressive, it killed the roof noise and helped my TL score as well. Good stuff!

Fast forward 6 months, the liftgate, floors, and pillars are now deadened with Damplifier and the doors are done with Damplifier Pro. This thing rides like a buick now, very quiet with 99% of road noise gone. If I ever have to pull out the dash/hvac box I'll be hitting up the firewall for sure.

Also, the roof is still holding up well after cooking outside in the sun almost every day for 8 months 8)

  3. but still i need to figure out what the deal is with brakes, cant drive too long like that, im not sure if its legal if only the third one is working

Since the third one works, chances are that it's not the switch.

Not sure of your vehicle but there are some vehicles that have a fuse for the third brake light and another one for the sides.

How do you know the bulbs are good?

Also in the 302 you can bet your ass that you'd get a ticket for that lol

  4. What engine is in that?

On the 5.2s/5.9s the pcm can lose the crank signal randomly and most cases it won't set a dtc. To verify that this is the cause, you'd have to monitor crank sig and hope it stalls.

The 4.7 also has a cam sensor that can cause the same issue, again you'd have to monitor crank and cam and hope that you can catch it in the act.

A decent scan tool can read the cam/crank signals in real time.
