  1. mounting a rubberband is harder than alot of you seem to believe..... takes skillz

    I cringe when I gotta mount a 25/30series

no doubt! i struggle with 40 series but then again i dont do it everyday lol

MY shop charges 59.95 to repair a 26.. If you want em mounted and balanced 79.95. Alignment on 24's+ is 89.95.. I HATE when people bitch.. rolling up on 26's with 20 dollars in their pocket talking about "'ey man i need you to fix my tire.." like its not gonna take 3 guys to do it up without scratching it. The fact is.. you spend like 10k on rims + tires then come crying when you get a flat about the price of the repair? I'm not talking about you.. just the people that come to my shop. Always "whys it so much?" and im thinking "have you saw your wheels..? Do you know that they are nearly TWICE the size of a passenger car wheel?" oh and my fav... its so dirty I take pleasure in this.. I love when a car gets on the lift and we balance their ginormous wheel only to find out its BENT! I guess I'm just a hater lol..

i hear ya on that! not only does it usually tie up a couple techs but we gotta do it slow as to not damage the finish on the rim....we should be bitching we dont charge enough lol

  2. So you guys are liking (not in any order)

    RE XXX

DC LVL4s with the LVL5 coils

    Fi BTLs

    Nightshades

I havent heard any of these subs myself but Im willing to try something new, if theres any more subs you guys think I should look into let me know....oh yeah they will play music 99% of the time:D

  3. well id throw re out to expensive and may has well just go fi, since you want to send each 2000 watts your kind of limited to the btl really..the dc lvl4 is 1000 watts each, the fi bl is about 1500 watts each, what kind of amp do you have?

    Have one T2K, getting another

I'd go for a little more power and do a pair of Btl 15s with 3k each because imo 2k won't get them moving to their potential. With 2k you should also consider a pair of Sundown NightShades. They have a little softer suspension that the Btls so they get moving better off less power and they still have some b-stocks for a dirt cheap price.

Holy crap! Dude that magnet was almost as big as the BTLs! Wow! How do they sound on music?

with those measurements i got 5.69 cubes per sub ( 2 subs) with 1.5 walls at 35 hz

    35hz me likey...thx!

  4. Thats the maximum size i can fit in the back of my trailblazer, the back will be about 5 inches from the liftgate this way.

So, what would you guys do? Couple things though, teh box will be 1 1/2" thick and I want 2 subs. Each will get >2000 wrms daily.

    2 18's?

    2 15's?

    DC?

    FI?

    RE?

L7's? j/p had to throw that in there :D

  5. My head unit(s) wont read the disc (fresh out the wrapper).

My computer reads it as a DVD unless I highlight D drive and open with WMP, then it is read fine.

I ripped and then burned as an audio CD, my head unit plays it

I ripped it and put it on my Ipod, plays fine.

Just curious if anyone else ran into this

oh yeah and it knocks too
