Needs to be a level 4 with level 5 coil daul 1ohm kit. Or any 18 recone kit that will fit the level 4 basket/motor and still be dual 1ohm. Must be able to handle around 2200RMS.

Did anyone ever think that im helping Rusty with R&D on the sub? Yes he didnt build it because the baskets arent ready yet,hence the reason i had to find my own!! This sub very well may not be the same as the production run sub! Rusty is a very busy man,in a perfect world he would have plenty of time to test this sub but he dosent(hes busy building subs)!! Im thankful that Rusty let me test this sub!! So yes its not a production sub as of yet so ill just call it proto woofer!!
And that is totally correct. I think people get this misconception about this sub cause when you say Level 6, people are expecting to see the official sub. You guys should call this what it is a DC prototype subwoofer and be done with it. To me its stupid to compare this thing to a lvl 5 sub when a lvl 5 is a actual DC production subwoofer and this is nothing more than a personal built woofer using DC proto parts along with other non-DC parts.
As for you helping Rusty out with R&D, I can believe that. Didn't say you wasn't, but you would have to admit that you guys kind of stirred up this mess by calling it something that its really not. Anyway I just wanted to express my .02 on the matter. Good luck with your testing on the prototype and make sure you beat the hell out of it. After all you guys are R&Ding this sub to find its limits. You don't baby these things. You take them to the absolute limit so you can record and report those findings back to the man. If you break it, well then you've found something that needs to be reported. And if you don't then you've given this product another selling point.

That's cause this isn't a true lvl 6 subwoofer. Sure it has the motor (maybe) and softparts (maybe again), until I see the offical subwoofer that Rusty Flowers built with the lvl 6 stamp of approval, this is nothing more than a custom built subwoofer. Don't get me wrong its good and all but I'm not judging this off of any DC product until Rusty releases the offical DC product. PERIOD!

All true statements there. Insurance is for the seller's peace of mind not the buyers when it comes to shipping. Tooshort has the right to the money back from the claim, however he also has to refund the money that Godsmack paid him for the sub.
I would suggest that Short give back the $70, while Smack gives back the damaged sub. Cause that was the way FedEX looked at it when they issued the claim money.
And to be honest it's shit like this that keeps me from buying from ebay and other personal sellers. When deals fall apart and it's time to do the right thing such as refund money and/or return product you always have to go through the bullshit run around game before things ever get squared away. That or it winds up in court somehow. This is the exact reason why I do my online shopping from legit stores that have defined return/insurance policies for the buyer of their inventory.

Well as a saints fan my biggest fear is that they don't get back in sync but outside of that everybody on the nfc side is a contender on any given sunday. You never know what you're gonna get with minnesota and arizona. They can be Jekyl and hyde. The cowboys are very hot right now. The eagles have one of the best offenses in the league and The packers are hard to beat when they can keep Aaron Rodgers up right.
Anyone wanna make any predictions for the first round?

My guess is around 5 - 700 more RMS if your safe with you setup. I'm getting around 2k rms on mines with no issue.

Hey thanks for this formula. So if what your saying is true then for the cargo floor and rear hatch door I would need roughly 17 sq ft of deadener? That would mean that the single 36sqft pack of damplifer would work for my back area no doubt.

I don't have a clue really. I got a pair of lvl 4 18s though at a really great fucking price for 18s. Just shoot Rusty and email, let him know of your budget and what your running power (amp wise) and hell square you away. I'm sure though you won't pay over $300 for a pair of lvl 3's let along lvl 2s.

ive never seen this work before - i would contact the manufacturer and ask them before trying it.
It works with kicker ZX amps for sure. And an f.y.i. some radio shacks don't carry RJ11 phone line splitters anymore. I tried 4 in my area with no luck. Finally had to go to home depot to get one. $6 was the cost but I can control my two ZX2500.1 off of a single bassknob.

From the floor of the rear I'm covering a floor area of about 49 wide by 28 deep. Rear hatch is about 48 wide by 22 high. So just based off the floor and rear hatch door alone how much would I need?.
