You may have seen a build started by the uk importer of DC ealier this year with 4 Level 5 18s, sinced then its been stripped out and rebuilt by a guy called the professor(Henry) Hes built a rear ported series tuned tunnel. Its powered by 8 sundown 1500s runnig at 1.4 ohm dual .7 level 5 coils. At a recent meet i had it tested (TL) mic on the headrest (propper droppers) 15hz 149.5 db 16hz 151.4 db 18hz 152.3 db 20hz 152.8 db 25hz 154.2 db 33hz 156.7 db 40hz 154.5 db These scores are with 8k, tunnel is tuned to 26hz. Iv only got a 120amp alt so cant run high power yet. Soon as the alts done should be looking at a 2-3db increase as i will be either running dual 2 level 4 coils or dual 1.4 Level 4xls. So around 15k on the Level 4s or around 18k to the 4xls. It should get very windy. :hairtrick: Will try and post pics up later.

What would be the recommnded enclosure size and tuning for 3 18 level 4s in a wall powered by 3 sundown 1500s and how much port area for streetbass, i still want fairly high numbers on the mic though. tuned to 30hz my car peeks at 40hz It says 8 cubes for spl on the dc website. cheers guys.

No all amps set up with multimeter to give out the same voltage. Why would you do the 3 15s.

I have 3 level 4 15,s in a 16.5 cube wall tuned to 30hz running off 3 sundown 1500s. Would i gain any db swapping to 2 18s runing off 2 sundowns in the same box. At present i have loading issues with having 2 subs loading against my front seats but the cental 1 has nothing to load against. My system also sounds smoother only running 2 subs and using the other as a passive radiator.

Yes, 1700 watts to each. Its trying to find somebody with a termlab is the trouble.

My box was tiuned to 30hz, in an 8 cube box. My peak frequency was 40hz. My car is a family 5 door hatchback with the box in the boot, subs and port firing up towards the rear screen.

My cars peak freq was 53 hz, i burped at that and got 140.2. i then burped at 40hz which was my peak when i tuned to 30hz and i got the 144.8 I couldnt work it out.

I have a level 4 15 which i wil be putting 1.7k into. I will be tuning at 30hz, what would be the largest recommended box size for streetbassing. I have 2 15s in 10 cubes tuned to 40hz and they scored really badly at dbdrag. 144.8 at 40hz with 3.4k on the pair. When i was tuned to 30hz I scored 146.1

I heard this sat at t16 its brutal. Top work.
