    just a little insight here. My 02 has same setup as your stock... As a little project due to board em, I found my stock 8" plastic GM sub setup in garage, took out stock GM 8" (which is actually a little smaller then 8" almost an odd ball 7 1/2) replaced it with a cheap 8" DVC sub, spent 1/2 day trimming plastic to get it to seat as like I said the stock GM sub isnt exactly an 8"er. Powered it with about 100watts from an O/S MTX 4channel and sounded like complete SHIT!!!! That plastic the box is made from just reproduces HORRIBLE NOISE, and the way GM mounts that sub to the rear 1/4panel is left to be desired. I ended up sticking 2 huge foam blocks behind box to stop vibrations and that worked "OK" and also keep in mind that entire area has 2 layers of sound deadner too... More or less what Im trying to say to you is, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME, as it sounded terrible...

    According to Alexa.com, we now have the #1 spot on the web, for car audio!! Barely, and maybe only for a day......but who knows!! i have been waiting for this day for a long time! First youtube, now the WEB! (at least for car audio/bass/etc) :drinks:

    plus tonight, i hit 100,000,000 youtube views so who's tossin back a cold one with me when the odometer flips later on? Damn i cant believe how big this is all getting!!

    FYI for the super nerds (like me), we have had a "google page-rank" of 5/10 for a few years now and that does not suck! (search google pagerank and alexa for info)

    thanks to everyone who makes this forum a better place to come visit and hang your hat!! we have our problems here just like other forums, but overall we try to keep this place as FRIENDLY as possible. Not everyone fits in and some people will never get along with other people, some have personality issues.......but mostly this is a place where if you give respect you get it back in return. I know i have some DAMN good friends, over 5 years strong, that i have never met in person. :drinks:

    anyway this time tomorrow we may not still be the biggest, but we should always be close.....and thanks again everyone! :yahoo:

    i could probobly save up to get the bl but there is no telling how long that would take. it would be close to 445$ shipped to me with the cooling and p chamber options. but then again i would have a sturdy woofer. what do used bl's usually run?

    You can also get them with a 4 inch coil.

    Not sure on used prices. You would have to search several forums to see if people are selling them.. Usually The FI/AA stuff is not sold used to much because people that buy them love them, and never have a want or need to switch to something else.

    So even if you bought the Fi BL new the hd3 18 is $309-340 depending on what coil you get.. IMO it shouldnt be that hard to save $100-150 extra to get the Fi over the hd318.

    it is my understanding that Fi is no longer doing the 4" coil option on the BL.... Might want to look in on that

    I'd say your amp is right, you're definitely clipping. They'll ship the DD-1 wherever you'll pay to ship it to.

    i was hoping not to buy anything but fuck it i dont think anyone in NZ even has a dd-1 so im gonna be the first here to buy 1 :D cheers guys

    well if thats the case, since you will be the only one with it in your area... Make money with it, and charge other people that want to use it... i know i'd love to use 1, just dont have funds for it
