I want to bring this thread back to life again, as I will be starting this box build very soon. MazdaSPL, if your still around, I appreciate that mock up again bro. How can I get a "cut sheet" of that box? I AM TERRIBLE WITH MEASUREMENTS...I SWEAR TO GOD, I AM BAD WITH EM! Can someone help me with that? Thanks
**EDIT** how many sheets of 3/4 do you think this will take?

nice to see a fellow EMT here. In FL we dont have the I cert your Either a B or a P
You know, I came up to GA to take this course, as it is only $2200, then once I passed, my plan was to come back to West Palm Beach, and score a job there (I love WPB, been there for 20 years) BUT, going thru this class, I learned about a process called Resiprocity, and im sure you now what that means, and I found out that FL DOES NOT HONOR IT, AND I WOULD HAVE TO BECOME RE-CERTIFIED AS PER COUNTY TO WORK BACK IN FL. I'm just going to stay here in the ATL area, and once I start my career, I'll buy a house up here ($200,000) buys a damn mansion up here, as $200,000 gets you a 2BR apt in WPB, so maybe it is better for me anyways. Thanks everyone for the warm replies. Now once I land a job, I can finally finish up what the bottom part of my sig reads!!!!

Hey ya'll. I just wanted to share my happiness that I went through tonight. I took an accelerated 6 month course to become an EMT-I, and didnt have the patience to take the 13 month class, so I took the 6 month class. Well, I graduated tonight, passed all my finals, and clinical rides, etc.... I was also surprised with a "BEST ACHIEVED" award, and damn!!!!! I feel good. Know to only land a JOB with this degree. I hope it wont be that hard, as I decided to go into the medical field, as MEDICAL is always needed! Just wanted to tell you all, now I must go find some damn food...... Thanks

1, if you have spare cash, get 2. More will never hurt!

For a better batt, and might even be cheaper, look into DEKA 9a31's. Deep cycle, AGM, 75lbs, 1000ca, 105A/H. I see them @ NAPA for 175$
-
Is the DEKA Intimidator Group 31 AGM batts decent as-well? 105AH 900CA 75LBs...... These are $175 @ NAPA....
-
there you go...
Holy shit, your avitar is tripping me out!
-
blow through, using 12 12's, or 8 15's.....Sheesh the ideas are endless. For some strange reason, I would love to see 2 VLX400's going down the center of the box. Need a baddass electrical system though. Class A/B is ruff on the electrical. (Old school with the amps guys, dont hate me)
-
i payed $354 actually, and i was joking anyway, why would i sell a sub i just bought? I'm gettin it hooked up proper.
I think this response correlates back to the other post that said, "ARE ALL OF YOUR POSTS JOKES?" Jesus bro, get your act together, and perhaps act a little more mature, you will get a much better liking back from this community.
-
so you guys are saying to run each amp off a seperate battery? And a big thanks for all your replies.....
-
yup, that should be a better. Will also be better if you do the same with the power coming out from the batts as well. And double up on the battery grounds.
I dont understand what you mean by this, "will also be better if you do the same with the power coming out from the batts as well."
-
the more even the better... ur tryin to create less resistance... which u might end up doing
some people even run 1/0 straight from alt to rear bats, plus bat to bat 1/0... and connect rear grounds to front grounds... all of these things could decrease you resistance... which will allow for better current flow
So are you saying..... do it?
-
Here, this is a quick diagram I made to show you what I mean. See the 2 power wires coming from the front batt, instead of both of those power cables going into that 1 rear batt, I have 1 going to one batt, and another run to the other batt.
-
I was thinking of this, can someone please tell me if this would be a better way of wiring my 2 rear batts. I have currently my 2 runs of 0/1ga going into my 1 rear batt, then 2 runs of 0/1ga connecting that batt to the other batt. Pretty standard. I was thinking, why dont I have 1 run of 0/1ga that comes from the front batt, go into 1 rear batt, then the other run of 0/1ga go into the other rear batt, then connect both batts with a common 0/1ga jumper. See, currently I have my 2 HC800's connected the way I first described, and have both my amp connected to the last batt, and was hoping that maybe if I re-wire it the way I just typed, MIGHT help in a little less voltage drop. Thanks, any feedback would be great.

Batt porn, wish I could affords those batts. G/L with em.
-
Well reason why I was saying call him is because he could run through some things with ya.... wasn't blaming rob
I understand bro. Rob and I have gone over everything twice. HC800's just arent cutting it anymore. Group 31's are going in very soon. Thanks anyways bro.
-
rob has nothing to do with it. It is just my HC800's. There not strong enough to hold me anymore.
-
Nice build. Want to sell any of those batts too?

Actually 2 people said to buy the 3100 and everyone else commented on how the XS power and Kinetic batteries are more capable of handling the application you want to use them for. I did say cheap stuff will destroy your equipment because it will. Just in the way you responded I can tell you are a tool.
you said "THere is no way im spending more then $150-175 per batt, cant happen. There are great batts out there I just have to find them. I just have to find 2 batts that are more powerful then my current 2 HC800's (which arent that powerful really) and not wanting to spend more then $300." and if you were to look at what YOU said you would find that the suggestions are within your requested price. here is the math for you..... 1 XS Power D3100 > the crap you are looking at so.... $175x2 = $350.00 + free shipping = $350.00 Now you can fuck off at anytime any maybe you will think before you say something else that makes YOU look stupid again. and once again have a great night.
You know what, lets level out here...Im not going to keep throwing back "words" with you, cause internet chat boards are so good for that, instead, maybe Im just not understanding everything like you all do. I have in my head that I need at least 2 batts in the rear, but, Now I think you all are saying to just run 1 D3100...is this correct? Dont call me a "tool" im far from one. I have just completed my EMT-I schooling, and just yesterday I passed my Final exam with a 92%. I have been studying for 14 days stright bro, not kidding. Im tired, anxious, and IN DESPERATE NEED OF A JOB, so my bad for not completely understanding ya'll here. Perhaps a nice little sorry from your end would be nice, no need to be pissed at each other. OK, back to the subject at hand..... I can get a Kenitic HC2000 for a good price, will this be better then my 2 HC800's?
-
Being cheap will become expensive very quickly. But that is my opinion and I would rather wait for the right equipment than ruin the equipment I have now. Everyone has told you their opinions on cheap no name batteries but you still try to find something cheaper. Next time do not post just buy the cheap crap and keep it to yourself so we do not waste our time on a thread that you will not listen to anyways. Have a great day.
You need to fucking chill out. In my first post, I stated I cant spend anymore then XXX amount, EVERYONE replied with batts that cost more then 200+. NOT EVERYONE can afford 350$ batts, and im god damn positive that there are decent batts (Not everyone needs the best) out there in the WWW that are affordable.....YES I SAID AFFORDABLE! You dont like, who cares. You dont like my thread, get out. There are people here using DEKA batts, hell B-SLAPS-your mamma was selling some off brand gray casing batts made by who knows, are you stating that those are cheap shit, and will fuck your shit up......of course your not, right? I love how you type like your talking for everyone on the forum.

What would you compare this batt to? This looks like a great Batt. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AGM-12V-Dee...essoriesQ5fGear
