still doing the free shipping mechman?
-
Damn. My thoughts go out to the family as well. I can't imagine how the pitcher feels who threw that ball.
-
Can you post a pic of the bracket assembly?
-
the X493 unit has 4volt pre-amp outputs, and the other has 2.5v. X493 is well worth the money.

I used 3 12" MMATS P 2.5's in a sealed box that just sounded incredible. The SQ that setup provided was TOP NOTCH. The MMATS P2.5's are decently priced, and dont take much power to pound, but can also handle ~750watts all day.

OK, I just got a Memphis Line driver, thanks guys.
-
WHat do you want for them? Any pics? Thanks for the FAST reply.....
-
Looking for a quality line driver, please if you have something let me know. Price must be lower then $90 shipped....
-
Damn....no love for the BL crowd! I guess I'm the only one who enjoys his BL's.
-
You can, but it's not necessary. Instead, I would upgrade the alternator grounds with what you have left. Alt housing to chassis.
I can do that too. Thanks Neo....

**UPDATE** I just got off the phone with DC Power, and they said to just do it this way, and I hope you all agree.
Since I already have 2 runs of 0ga running from front batt to rear batts, all I need to do is this:
from alt 1 run a short run of 0ga to front batt (I already have this done since i did the bigIII
from alt 2 run a short run of 0ga to front batt (no big deal, but do I also run a VERY small run of 0ga from alt 1 to alt2 aswell?)
-
If I do alt PER BAT IN THE REAR, I will not have the front batt connected to the rears. See what im saying? I do not have the funds to buy more batt cable. Can I wire this using the second diagram, will it be just fine to do it this way?
-
Here is another sketch up of maybe a better way to wire this. Damn, I hope this is the better way, as I wont have to buy any more 0ga.....
-
How is this drawing? This is pretty much what I was trying to explain in my above post. Would this be a better way to run my power wires, to maximize the use of 2 alts?
****EDIT Actually, if I did it this w ay, the front batt, wont be connected with the rear batts...shit, guys, help me out here.****
-
okay, that would help. 300a through a short run should be ok - if it were my car i'd fuse it ....
Here you go, PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU WOULD DO. I can simply just remove the 2 0ga wires from the front batt, and simply plug them into both alts, (this way I wont have to buy more wire) this way the back batts will have stright up alt power. I can have 1 go into one bat, and another go into the other batt (See what im saying) would this be a better use of my new electrical setup, then what im currently doing? I think it seems better. This way my kenitics can pull power direct from the alts and not from my POS front exide orbital. (I will still use 1 run of 0ga from my primary alt to the front batt thought, if this makes sense.) Here are the pics. And yes, all my runs are fused!
-
I'll go take a quick pix of what it looks like under my hood right now.
-
each alt is 150a
-
I've been drooling over some of Steve's install pic on chickens hoopty, and noticed (I THINK) we went from the back of the alts directly to the back batts. I'm only using a sub 3000watt stereo setup, and was hoping just wiring it this way would be ok:
Alt 1 (run a short 0ga power wire to ALT2)
then ALT 2 to the front batt.....
Will this be OK?

I use Autometer Cobalt series gauges on my A-pillar and they have blue digital displays (have some red letters for night driving). They're pretty much +-.2V with the DMM.
You can just type them in google to find them easily.
Those gauges, although very nice, might be over his spending limit.
-
MLA module can work with the stock alt. That wouldnt be an issue.
-
yea iv seen the stinger gauge. it seems like thats the only one available lol
Be careful, when I first installed this gauge, it said im @ 15.7ish volts. Im like WTF! I knew that was wrong. Open the gauge up, and inside there is a dial setting to adjust voltage. I just took out my MM and set the gauge to what my MM said the voltage was.
-
Darvex has the stinger gauge.... www.darvex.com

got it, thanks....

ok, im going back to check. I though the song would start with "Do you have click" or something like that......

First and for most, get rid of the "CAP" and replace it with a good AGM style battery. MUCH MORE powerful, and MUCH MORE USEFUL. There, problem solved.
