Strange Voltage Drop
TJ_Jeep replied to NoFearX18's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
i had a nissan truck that when you turned the turn signals on the battery metter would move alot (10v -14v) but it never seemed to really pull much power i think something was going on with the cluster -
im pretty sure if you put a 16v battery in a car your gonna fry something i would just stick with a normal 12v amp
-
yea thats the way mine does and its got some years on it
-
when i went mudding the 12v came undone and well
-
yea i might just put 2 on each side, im guessing the reason it gets so hot is because i do play very it loud for a long time or there might be something wrong with the amp it has had 12v on one side of the speaker output but its never showed any problems
-
so what would be my best thing to go with
-
yea thats what i was thinking about an computer fan i have the amp under my seat but the seat is like 5 inchs off the ground so its not suffocated
-
Well if you know me when im my jeep ill play my music pretty loud but after a while the amp for my subs will get really hot and turn off which i can understand that but i was looking for like a fan or something to help cool it down any help would appreciated
