no no no!!...i did not do that...i actually wired it to the remote wire..(blue stripe)..but right now my friend had some problems with the car so he took it to get it fixed...as soon as he drops it off at my house im gonna re check everything and if the amp dont turn on ima do what "audiofanaticz" said to wire the remote to the (headunits power wire)(red wire)..... oh yeah audiofanaticz not now bro...like i said ^^^^^^ my friend had some problems with his car so he took it to get it fixed...

i need a amp...for now i want a watt amp im not looking for RMS...just a 600-1000 watts...anybody here have one?...i was thinking on a 2 channel brigdeable but a mono would work too...im in a buget so please keep the price low

ok bro..today like a couple mins ago like 20 mins..i wired the amp in my car and the amp worked perfectly good..it didnt go into protect or anything like that..it handled the MTX 4500 woofer pretty good...maybe the remote wire on my friends headunit is damaged like you said..ima try doing that today jumping the amp remote to the (+12 battery) on the amp....ill keep you in touch on how it goes today....

i didnt know that bro..so by adding a wire to the power wire and hooking it up to the remote the amp could turned on too?.. but tomorow morning ima test it out in my car..ima wire it and see if the amp works or turns on.. would the battery be the problem too?.because the battery is HELLA SMALL!!...the car is a honda civic i think..i dont know what year..its like steve's honda..

ill take a pic and show it to you guys!...the amp wasnt wired to anything i just hooked it up for him while he gets hes subs...the amp turned on for 10 sec like i said earlier then it just turned off...i taught it was the remote but i checked it and it was fine...i checked RCA's and that was ok too...and he had a old sony headunit i dont know what series..but its really old...maybe tomorow ima check the fuses and see whats up...i couldnt see good cause it was getting late and dark too so i just told him to come tomorow. its a jensen 600 watt 4 channel amp..bridgeable..it was wired to i believe 8 gauge power wire

today i installed a amp but only problem was the amp wouldnt turn on!...i re checked everything and everything is ok..the amp just turned on for 10 secs then it just turned off...it didnt go to protect mode or anything like that...any help would help!

how can you check if the trannys computer has a bad ground or loose ground?

hopefully thats the problem bro!!...i was thinking on taking it to a shop but they said it was gonna cost me $600+...im gonna buy a new "transmission computer" and see how the car works...i rather do it myself than going and pay $600+ and have the same problem...THANKS ALOT BRO!...I OWE YOU ONE!

what series of MTX are you looking for?..i have a MTX "12" 4500..pm me if interested..

maybe you have a electrical problem...something might be wired wrong in your car thats causing to blow the fuse..and if the car gets really really hot you should check the radiator if it has water..that could cause your car to sometimes over heat bro..or i dont know i might be wrong but if your radiator fans aint working that should cause your car to over heat too...hope this helps brotha!

oh yeah one more thing could there be a chance that the "transmission's computer" might be bad?..way back before i had this car my dad had it..well since then he has been replacing the transmission sensor's and also the "motor's computer"....could that be too?..im just saying though..i hope that helps you guys!

well the last time the transmission got a flush was last year...i heard i should change the oil on the transmission every year...well not me..take it to a shop..well right now the oil smells like one of the guys said here before like wires burned something like that and its not that "cherry" color..its more kinda like dark...but just to be sure im gonna get the codes today saturday...in the afternoon....hopefully thats the sensor your talking about bro

ok..when the car is cold like when you leave it till the next day and drive it the car runs fine..it works good and everything but once you drive it around like 1 hour or sometimes it depends..but yeah once you drove the car more than a hour the car just like brakes by it self and just stays in 2nd gear...and everytime that happens i turn the car off then turn it back on again then the car works fine again till again the problems comes back like whenever you brake...its really weird!..

i already tryed the scanner..a friend of mine has one at his shop..we took it for a drive and everything while the car was running and driving...but ill get the codes...THANKS GUYS!!..

ok..lets start by ok i have a 96' dodge intrepid 3.3L...and since i bought it i been having some problems with the car getting stuck on 2 gear when the car heats up or lets say when it gets HOT!..i have took the car too alot of places and they tell me its the "motor computer" after i told them like 1,000,000,000 million times! that i have replaced that i few times now...i already put the scanner and it tells me gear gets stuck or some sensors and the transmission..i dont really remember..right now the car has been parked for lets say for 2 months...anybody know about this?..any help would help me out right now..if not im gonna have to sell the car the way it is..!

does anybody in here have any "MTX" stickers?..

well no more than $50...but if i kant find any 6x9's lower than that then i guess i pay more..
