i would have to lean towards bad ground. happend to me a while back as i was going to give a demo, thought the subs were fucked and turned out to be my ground got loose

you can get 6 inch x25 feet for 12 dollars i think ? its not much, it comes in the nice 6 inch pices and then it comes in 36 inch monster rolls. which are nice as well but i would still put it up in smaller managable sheets....i think you can get a roll for 65... diff. places have different prices ..

i say peel n stick (water and ice) its not heavy so as long as you put it up properly and clean, it will stick and you will be good to go. i live in fla. where it gets hot in my van with no ac and i have yet to have any fall.. and its been there for 3+ years

alot of people fail on installing because they dont properly clean the surface of dust dirt and grime. it does have to be clean or it will fall when it gets hot

ohm meeter, the coils can be badly burnt but still allow power to pass, but the meeter will tell you if they are shit (dont forget to do the ole scratch n sniff.... i smell all subs i buy used before i even put them on the meeter. if it smells burnt then i wont bother with it

best advice i can give is NOT TO TALK TO NOR ATTEND ANY MORE OF THEM BULL SHIT SHOWS when you know more about audio than the promoter and judge then you shouldnt be there along with anyone else

ohm meeter and check the coils and make sure they read proper ohms, and the battery is only for phase checking, if it pops out its correct if it goes in then the polarity is reversed

well im in a position where its down to a simple to ask question but hard to answer, i bought a home *destroyed trailer on 1/2 acre* in jan. and have been slowly working on it since, well im almost done working on it so i can move in with my daughter, but im about 1500 shy rite now to finish it. i had to do everything from tear all walls out down to studs reinsulate, and rewire 100% since that was the reason it was destroyed. i have all my system in the van and have thought about selling all of it even head unit and just get a cheap one to hold me over. but dont know if i should do it of if i could even get 1500 out of what i have in there. i have 8 memphis pr 6.5's , 4 pr tweets , 2 sets of pr 6.5 componets with seperate tweets, mojo 2500, mclass 300.4, pioneer 6000 with usb ...... think it might be worth it? im paying 450 a month rent now and when i move in my new place i will only be paying 150 so it wouldnt be hard nor long before i rebuilt....
