  1. nothing....i just wouldnt buy a prefab box made of mdf. i dont know what quality it is, how it will hold up to some abuse etc....
  2. i know thats why i wouldnt buy it prefab...especially made from mdf..hell no. but what im asking is if the overall design of the box would be good for the sub...
  3. okay...would this be a good box design for the 12" BTL? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/pictures.php?id=7521 (no im not buyin it prefab, but if i can somehow do this with mine, or if i have to make a new one, that would be nice)
  4. no power right now.....hes probably going to run 2000-2500 rms to it though. you really think 3cuft is a little much for a 12" BTL? edit: ill be able to make it into one chamber...the center divider is only screwed in..not nailed
  5. any and all info is good...even if its tellin me im an idiot. but the box i have will be useless for what im going with now...so my dad said he wants to use it. he said he just wants bass...doesnt care about sq he just wants the shit to bang. so i told him about the btl, he liked it, said he would get a couple for the box. then i explained to him what you guys explained to me...basicly that the box is too small. i had an idea though...since the box total would be just over 3 cubes in volume (both sides combined) if i were to take out the center divider and make it just one chamber, seal up one hole and port the box, would it work good for one 12" btl? i havent really thought much about it....but its just an idea that popped into my head just now
  6. ive noticed that most of the top-of-the-line subwoofers use foam surrounds (like Fi, DC, RE, JL, etc.) but others use rubber surrounds (MTX, Fockford Fosgate, Kicker, etc.) may be a vague question, but which is better? and why does it seem that mos of the top-of-the-line subs use foam?
  7. theres a member here selling 4 dc sound 15's for 500 bucks.... edit: i saw you already responded to his thread.
  8. some of you have probably seen this before, but its some funny shit, as long as you know who everybody is lol name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">Guest in Order of Appearance: Birdman & Lil Wayne Young Dro TI Batman 50 Cent Sway Fat Man Scoop Kanye West Rick Ross Soulja Boy Tell Em Fatt Kidd & Twinn Dipset (Cam'ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana)
  9. LOL....i know that the max wattage doesnt mean anything (and to extreme that it has nothing to do with picking a sub) im just curious as to whats the most wattag somebody has put on any of them without destroying them.
  10. i noticed on their website, every sub has an rms power rating, but what is the max wattage for all of them? i know these things can handle much more than the rms.
  11. mm...lotta info. but it sounds to me like they are/were some pretty good subs. so are they or are they not out of business..or trying ot get back on their feet?
  12. i was just at a friends house and we started talking about car stereos because i mentioned to him what i was getting. then he showed me the system he will be installing soon...hes got 2 audiopulse lms ultra 15's and the 6000 watt jbl crown amp....all this is going in a crown victoria. are the audiopulse woofers good? (are they best for spl or sq?) im not changin my mind again lol...just curious. ive heard of them before but never seen any in person....they are some pretty big ass subwoofers.
  13. blowthrough......you probably wont want to do it, but its an idea. then you can use whatever subs you want
  14. very true...but if hes lookin for all out pounding bass. l7's arent what you want to get....i just say that from my personal experience
  15. l7's slammin......iidk. i had 2 12" l7's before, they pound pretty hard, but definatly not hard enough...and they didnt project the really low bass well at all. dont get me wrong though, ive heard some pretty nice sounding setups with l7's. but if you want some reallly hard pounding bass, dont get them.
  16. no you just forgot these things [you tube] [/you tube] (without the spaces) ....but its all good good song btw
