  1. Not that ma builds starting just yet, but i thought i'd let everyone know what the deal is....

    System looks like this:

    - BTL 18, 6cuft tuned to 32Hz (sub down port back) so assholes don't touch ma gear!

    - Sundown 3k

    - 2 sets of Hertz HSK165's

    - RF T800.4

    - 4 pwrmstr 2700's

    - Mean Green alt

    - Alpine H/U

    - + all the other little things

    Car's gonna cop:

    - 3.5 inch suspension lift plus 1 inch body and engine lift

    - 35 inch Mickey T Claws

    - 3 inch exhaust with high-flow cat and just a resonator (no muffler)

    - Everything blacked out... windows, lights, rims :D

Uni's over in 6 weeks, so that's when i'll order the sub and amp. Then the fun begins :)

And for the winter i want to put another BTL and amp in so i can compete in some DB Drags, show everyone what real power looks like!!!

  2. i disagree

I agree, it's spot on. Why d'you think the make tweeters small.

Theoretically you could put 20kHz out of a sub, but the ability to control such a thing would be and incredible feat...

50Hz just gives the spot on calibration for the gain setting guide. If it were 55 it's be different but only marginally i believe.

  3. Yeah, well hopefully i never have to recone!!!!

Wat d'you think i should go for:

    1 9518g probably on a RF T4k

1 Fi Btl on a RF T2k (and maybe upgrade to 2 after summer)

    2 Fi Q 15's on two T1k's

I'm looking to get in to dragging down under, wat's the cometition like in the the street classes, i've never been to an event!

  4. Here's the deal. I have a TJ jeep and i wanna put one powerful 18 in the back (or 2 perhaps). Anyway, i've been looking at getting a BTL. But my question is, would a DD9518 put out more than the BTL, when loaded to max RMS wattage. Looking at bout 2500W for BTL, unsure of how much for DD...

I really wanna pull 150 in Super Street NW, Street max or Street C (these are Australian classes), but still be able to use it as a daily sub.

Also, and other suggestions for sub choice would be great!!
