  1. How safe is running 700WRMS to an SA-8 in a 0.6cube box?
  2. http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/caraudio/enclosu...closureInfo.asp
  3. Yeah, should note that i am looking at 6-1/2 or bigger
  4. Any dealers in the states?? If not, close friend of my is an Australian dealer
  5. What would be excellent speakers in terms for definition in mid-range. i.e. voice clarity and depth. Currently have 4x Hertz HCX 5-1/4"s for highs and mid range. Just need something with better response at lower frequency's. 75RMS+ power handling too Stick with Hertz?
  6. Bigger tires is just gonna put more work on the engine, plus the speedo issue. I personally think installing gears is a big waste of money in terms getting efficiency. I've done gears to run bigger tyres and that's about it. For a daily driver just stay with factory gears. What size tyres are you running anyway? 32inch...?
  7. Nah, i busted him, coz i was sitting bout 20meters away. Was down at the beach with some chick. Lucky he had a head start, otherwise it would've been very unfortunate for him.
  8. It was just some low life fuker trying to take anything that is shiny and silver... Lucky i busted him half way in the act, otherwise ma P300 would've disappeared too. And so much for glove box locks, good for a small baby thief and that's it. And nah, i didn't knick someone elses deck. I got some good morals. Just pisses me off that i have to flip about 2000 patties down at McShits to buy a new faceplate I'm gonna bolt a steel box to the floor and keep all ma ipod and shit in there now. It's the best idea i think Oh yeah, it was a sonicelectronix H/U too, and ma local shop is a bloody con. Ahh well, life goes on aye. Steve'd know how it feels havin things knicked BIG TIME!
  9. I second the bronco. Built tough and still got some poke in her, then again... I've never seen any of the other trucks in real life But i've always wanned a Bronco as a project vehicle
  10. How's this for a load of crap. Ma car was broken into this week and all the asshole took was my faceplate from ma glove box, but insurance won't cover it as 'It was not physically attached to the car at the time of the theft' So now i've got a nice black box in ma dash and no music! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Anyone know where to get cheap faceplates from? Alpine 9886?
  11. You can do anything you want big man!!!!!! .. But Can be a waste of money. A home sub is most likely active. (it has an amplifier built into it) Truth is that they are more efficient than a car sub (passive), as for a car sub and amp you get power from a low voltage battery, which means that as the power travels through wires, some of it is lost unfortunately. but we don't have a power point in our car to plug the sub woofer into So just wait till you're old enough to get a set of wheels i'd say. By all means go out and buy some gear but! My tip... Get a sub and make a swish box for it. That's where all the talent is at! Anyone can connect wires You can probs test it out at ya local car audio store, then when you got a car... you got a sub! Add an amp and some wires, whammy! I know when i was young i spent money on crap that just doesn't work... (i.e. trying to power a car amp off a phone charger in my room ) So read up, save your pennys and get into it! PM if you got any questions mate
  12. Well known means nothing. People in Australia still think Pioneer is the bees fucking knees. I drop the "Fi" "DC Soundlab" "Sundown" "AA"... (all the brands you've grown to love) and they look at me like the brand's some sorta messed up type of drug.... Sundown are very well built amps, underrated, and you'll get tip-top customer service through them
  13. My tip is lay down your budget for everythin, then we'll help you out with choices. No point have stacks of dough for subs, then be stingy on amps and elects.... Give us budget for sub(s), amp(s), electrics and install parts (enclosure and other bits and pieces)
  14. yeh. Everthing, car crashes, cats in trees.... the whole kit and kaboodle!
  15. 1500WRMS each. Looking at either a RF 1500.1bd or a Sundown
  16. Well we only have one sorta fire fighter over here, and most i know aren't the fittest! It's a real commmunity thing, most are volunteers.
  17. Where's that brand based in Dave? Looks alot like the DC's! Have you heard a 1500 10?
  18. ha, well we haven't seen rain in about 9 weeks. So there's not much sign of any winter coming our way....
  19. Just wanned to give a quick thanks for sending over fireys to help fight the fires that are still burning in my area... Don't need to go into detail, i'm sure you've all seen/readin the news... Today's looking like a bad day again, got 38degree(celcius) temps and hot northerly winds Fingers crossed!
  20. wayyy too much mucking around! I think the motor wouldn't fit in the space i have available anyway, so thart crosses it off the list. I really want to see some beefy BL's or LVL4's in action, tunned low and with loads of power on them!!! (so i'm pretty much lookin at a minimum of 1500WRMS for the sub of choice, coz i don't have much cone area, mayswell have a fair wak of power aye!!!)
  21. yeah, know that one dave. I'm pretty much looking at what's the best in an optimum enclosure. Looking at tuning low 30's... 30-32. Though if i end up deciding on some DD's, then this'll be around 40hz
