My opinion, and it's only my opinion....Give the T2's atleast 1k RMS each. I've seen them take 1400-1500 fine, but never seen them take anymore than that. Wonderful subs though. I was considering them @ one time.

Yeah, I don't need an insanely loud ride. The truck will be for show and summer driving. 2 MX 12's or 15's or 2 XXX 12's or 15's will be good enough. My goal is to have the best sound possible while still gettin' a little bit loud.

Steel does have 4 15" T2's I believe. Not sure on what amps though. His enclosure design is pretty sweet as well.

Thank you for the replies and useful knowledge. Will really help when it comes time to order some things. I think I'll start off with the Head Unit, Equilizer and 5.1 Channel Surround. Is there anything else I should really need to start with? My major problem is going to be getting it mounted in the dash, but I'm willing to cut it apart. Steve or anyone, if yall know of any good tutorials for cutting a dash apart to accomodate more stuff, please link me. I'm sure cutting it won't be the problem, it'll be making it look good again

The Clarion has 7 volt RCA outputs or whatever. I really don't understand the pre-out thing. I've heard numerous people say that 5 volt is better than 2. I just don't understand what the significance with Pre Out Voltage is. Care to explain please? Anyone?

I just interpretted what you were saying in a different way than you meant it. I think everyone else took it as me being pissed. Misunderstanding and thank you for the information and advice. The 4/0 is like 3$ a foot shipped. Just figured I'd replace my POS 1/0 wire with it since I have kicker 1/0 for my big 3. I have a 300 amp Iraggi alt, but no extra batteries as of yet either. I plan on picking up a couple monsters soon to hold me over til' more of the new stuff starts rollin in. I really need to find a good deal though on some RF products. If I can't, I'll probably run a ZX2500.1 instead. I also may run RF 2/0 rather than the 4/0 because I really don't want that big of a hole in my firewall either. *Shrugs* I know the 4/0 is excessive, but I just figured if I can get it for a good price, whynot? I figure it's better to have and not need than to need and not have.

You are absolutely wrong. Look at Pornstar from roe. He's using 8 runs of 1/0 for + and 8 of 1/0 for -. It's so that for the quick time he's burping, he can get as much juice there as possible as stated by irrupp. I can also get 4/0 gauge for less than kicker 1/0, so why not? If you're just going to try and insult or downgrade my plans, I'd rather have you not post in this thread. Thank you.

I plan on covering my dash because the insert I purchased to accomodate my headunit was at one point matching my interior and now it's not. I'm going to use suede and see if I can get it on so that it will still clip back in. You may want to try first, but I plan on buying some cheap felt that is about the same thickness as the suede so that I don't spend 8 bucks a yard for nothing.

It doesn't really matter. The thicker the wire, the less resistance and easier for the current to travel. I don't feel like doing multiple runs either, so 1 run of decently thick wire works for me.

the T40001BD amp is more expensive than two 2000's. I have an iraggi 300 amp alternator already and I think 4 Monsters would be plenty...anything else?

Stinger's lineup of products doesn't go bigger than 1/0 that i've seen. I've seen Rockford do 2/0, but thats about it.

Hey, I'm about to order 25 Ft. of 4/0 gauge wiring and was wondering where I could order a battery terminal to hold a 4/0 wire and a 1/0 wire. I have the big 3 done in 1/0, but am upgrading my power wire because I have some cheap crap in there now. Also, I was wondering if there is a place that makes ring terminals for 4/0 wire? please help :-)

I'd do the 2 runs of 2/0 to the amps, then use the 10 feet for th big 3. I only used 7 feet for my big 3.
