  1. Well, we demo'd it at our Term-Lab Session last week Sunday. Everyone there was pretty impressed with how loud, low, and clean it sounded. We had it running off a US Amps MD2D on the Blazers stock electrical system. We finally go to meter it yesterday, but we were kind of short on time(had other things to do), so it wasn't a really involved test session. We did manage to get a 143.3db out of it playing music. Overall, we are pretty impressed with it's value. I'm thinking of possibly changing up my daily setup(reg cab S10) to a DC Audio LV410 in a wedge box using a 4" Precision Port firing to the side. Anyway, here's a couple more pics and a vid from yesterdays brief test session. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  2. DC Audio will be finally be making it's Hawaii debut this Sunday at our third Term-Lab Session. I didn't get a chance to get a box done for the LV418, soon enough though. We've been a lot busier than expected, so we kind of threw this box together in a rush to get it done for Sunday. A special thanks to my cousin Shane who helped me thrash through this build and for letting me demo it in his Blazer. Anyway, the deal he was suppose to get on a RF T1500-1bd fell through, so we'll be underpowering it with a DD SS1(~600w), unless we swap it out for my ED NINe.1. I used a roundover on the port, but I didn't get a chance to brace or 45deg it. I'll try to get some pics of it installed later on Saturday, maybe even some videos too! However, these two will have to do untill then. Enclosure vs Motorola RIZR Z3 LV415 vs Motorola RIZR Z3 ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  3. I think this ones the best design scheme so far. Having the logo outlined in a blue glow would help it stand out even more. I would rather wear a simpler design with just the logo and a slogan, but if you do produce this one, I'd definitely buy a bunch for me and my cousins. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  4. IMHO, this scheme ranks last out of them all. I personally think the main focus should be on your logo. The logo is almost completly lost in the splatter paint effect. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  5. I just realized the picture doesn't show the port width. You can easily calculate it, but it's 4" wide. Oh yeah, and for some reason the double front baffle doesn't show. It combined it and only shows a single "thicker" piece. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  6. Here you go Rusty! 4ft^3 tuned to 33hz with 58in^2 of port. This is the first design I've done using SketchUp, pretty cool little program. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  7. When I opened the boxes, my cousin and I said the exact samething. We had no idea how big an 18" sub was. Honestly, all of our previous setups consisted of single or duo 10"s and 12"s. The 15" seemed big, but the 18" is gianormous! Coolwazabi, you spelt it right, just that it is one word, mahalo(thank you). BTW, they're beefy, but aren't really all that heavy, here's a couple of my pics of my sister fooling around. She wanted to take some pics posing with the subs."Big things poppin" "Lil things stoppin" ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  8. Nah, this truck is to much of a "bomber" to put that much time/effort/money into. I'm looking for a newer/better condition S10 ext. cab or S10 Blazer. Soon, hopefully very soon. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  9. I don't even have a vehicle that these will fit in(my current ride is 1998 Chevy S10 reg cab), but the deal was to good to pass up. The LV415 will be making it's Hawaii debut at our Term-Lab Session on Sept. 16. I'll be demoing it in my cousin's 2000 Chevy S10 Blazer hopefully on a RF T1500-1bd. If we are able to, I'll try to get the LV418 in my other cousin's(his brother) 1997 Toyota 4runner maybe on a DD M2, not sure about that though. Anyway, on to the pics... 10. Yeah, they were delivered on Friday, but I've been pretty busy, so no builds yet. So my cousin just picked up a 2000 Chevy S10 Blazer 2dr 4wd. On Friday we went to checkout the one I had my eye on in the local classifieds; same truck except 2wd. It turned out to be a pretty expensive piece of crap(seen it as low as $3995 on sale, but window price was back up at $5995). I was pretty disappointed to say the least. So, LV418 is going to have to wait until I find a vehicle worthy of it. I'll be working on a daily box for the LV415 for my cousin's Blazer soon. I should have it done by our next Term-Lab Session on September 16 and we can see what this puppy can do. He'll probably have it running off a new RF T1500-1bd. Hopefully we'll also be sportting some DC Audio gear to help get the word out here in Hawaii. I'll start up a new thread with a bunch of pics we took. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  11. I'm just excited that a t-shirt is in the works. As far as the design goes, I like the ideas involved, but imho, the company logo should be the main focus. The logo kind of gets lost with everything else that's going on. A plan design shirt with just the logo and the slogan would be a good option also. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  12. Those two might be finding their way into a pair of 2000 Chevy S10 Blazers, one in each. My cousin just picked up a red one; 4.3L V6, 4wd, two door, and if things work out for me, I might be picking up a black one; 4.3L V6, 2wd, two door. If my deal falls through, I'll just hang on to which ever sub my cousin doesn't want until I find another vehicle worthy of a DC Audio LV4. Rusty, I was just about to checkin with you on the status of these. PM me any shipping info when available. I'll check with the boys and see what kind of DC Audio wear we would be interested in(any t-shirts yet?). I'll let you know, and maybe we can do a single larger order for some DC Audio wear. We're planning a "Term-Lab Session" for the middle or ending of September, and hope to have one, if not both, of the setups featuring the 18" or 15" by then. These will be the largest drivers we've ever used. All of our previous setups have involved 10"s and 12"s. Phil, I'm the jealous one, 141db on a single 10" in a daily tuned box on rms power! Super excited!!! ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  13. I'm sure most if not all of you who got in on the "Group Buy" received your subs already. We should get a thread going showcasing DC Audio installs. So, come on guys, let's see what you got! ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  14. I'm interested in ordering 1 LV4 18 and 1 LV4 15. Could you send me an invoice for the total cost including shipping to Hawaii 96744? Also, would you be able to ship to an address other than my confirmed Paypal address? My mailing address(confirmed Paypal address) is different from my physical address. Our mailbox(mailing address) is on an empty lot across the street from our house(physical address). I know it sounds weird, but I've had a package or two almost "return to sender" after FedEx/UPS claimed "no house at address". You would think they would attempt to ask my neighbors or something. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, Sky-Aaron Pamatigan
  15. Way to go DC!!! I see you guys have recommended enclosure sizes now, just the info some of us were looking for. A couple more things that might be helpful would be recommended port area, and recommended tuning. Thanks again!!! ALOHAZ, SKY
  16. I appologize if I came across a little "pushy", but this is an opportunity that we'd hate to miss. We're most likely looking at single sub setups used daily, but also be able to swap out enclosures for comps. Our 1988 Ford Bronco II has about 8.75ft^3 net available. We would like to do a LV4 18", but if that's not enough airspace, then a LV4 15". My 1998 Chevy S10(reg cab), has about 2ft^3 net behind the seats. I'm looking at doing a LV4 10", but I'm not sure if I'll have enough room being that daily tuning is recommended at 33hz. Hopefully you guys can get some recommendations on enclosures(port area, net volume, and tuning) together soon and we can get in on this "group buy" too!!! Thanks again for your time! ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  17. Hey guys, I'm still trying to find out recommended enclosures for the Level 4 line. I know daily tunning is recommended at 33hz, but I haven't found any specifics on port area or net volume. We are looking at setting up several different cars/trucks, so knowing enclosure specs can help us decide on what size drivers to go with. Thanks again! ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  18. Just wondering if anyone that purchased through the group buy received their sub(s) yet? ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  19. Between my cousins's and myself, we have a 1989 Ford Bronco II, a 1995 Nissan Sentra, and my 1998 Chevrolet S10. ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
  20. Could I get a shipping quote for the the entire Level 4 series(shipping cost per sub)? I'm on the island of Oahu in Hawaii, 96744. My cousins and I run currently run DD subs, we're possibly looking to do some new setups, just to be different from everyone else. In Hawaii, DD currently seems to be the "IT" brand. Don't get me wrong, DD is awesome, but were looking to stray away from the norm, and DD's current cost is outrageous to say the least. I have a reg. cab S10 with a single DD 3510d on around 1200w. In my SPL box, my best score on the Term-Lab so far is a 140.6db. How would a LV 4 stack up against this setup daily and for comps? ALOHA FROM HAWAII, SKY
