137... no one can have an idea, because flex doesnt = dbs.... you could be doing a 120 at 20hz and flex the shit out of your doors... -
been playing him and hopsins shit for quite awhile, swizzz is just goofy, no matter what his voice sounds like, i see him more of a goof off and talkin about real shit..

I've heard from several people my original system would break the 50's but I'm just lost at this point. My electrical is upgraded 2 kinetic 1800's, a 220a alternator, 2 runs 0f 2/0 wire, and the BIG 3 upgrade. what are you tuned to? how is the box setup? are you metering at the headrest or on dash sealed up? little tiny ass things, like moving a sun visor can gain you dbs... or moving a seat forward... you need some real meter time to figure out what works best if you are tuned for music, tuning higher generally yields a better number.... do you know what your peak is? if not, you need to do a test to find out where your peak is asking again, since it seems to got missed LOL

RE SX > sundown SA.... sorry guys... lol that is, if you are talking about the older SX, and not the SxX series they have now..... you need the extra batt regardless if you are rockin a pretty stock electrical... the sundown amps are pretty power hungry, and if you dont have the electrical to back it, it wont produce power... i bet with some tweaking you could break the 50 with what you have....

you would need another alt at that point... atleast, I would get one.. you can run both of them off stock, but you will have voltage drop like a mother fucker... audiosavings.com has kinetik 2400s for 300~ shipped or so, which is one of the best deals on those you can find... ohh i would get one if i was getting another 3400. But do you think i should be good on running a aq2200 on a single 3400 and a 125 amp stock alt? i dunno about XS batts, but you should be fine... you will still have voltage drop, but nothing that should blow your equipment -

and you keep overlooking what i keep saying... ill say it again later down the road, when he has the $ to upgrade his electrical, he can add another aq2200, and not have to buy more subs, because the XLs wont take 2 2200s... the 5 will... -

Yea but an xl will outperform on that power. and when he gets enough money, he can upgrade to another 2200, and run it... a XL wouldnt take that power... and then he would have to get either another xl or a lvl 5... or he can just get a lvl 5 and run 2 2200s down the road to it.. -

2 yellowtops and a stock 150~ ish alt would be more than enough to get by on a AQ2200..... or even if he actually bought 2 kinetik 2400s, he would still be fine... -

Its the same damn amp just a better sub.. Both can be ran off of the 2200 the rms of the lvl 5 is 2000w... -

depends on the head unit.. say your head unit clips at volume 24, but you can take it up to vol 50, then your max volume is 24.... gains are set for max output at 24.. friend turns it up to 50, guess what, you just clipped the living fuck out of all your shit in your car, and he prob just caught some shit on fire lol Well that's a shit tastic headunit lol. you wont ever know till you oscope, or use the distortion detector on yours.. lol, you might be suprised... -

Handle the abuse? Ive had my xl ran at .5 ohm on my aq 2200 for 5 months till I changed amps lol you obviously dont know how i handle subs..... and yes, the XLs would have blown by the abuse i put my 5s through, ive had 4s, XLs AND now 5s... XLs would not handle 3kw a piece for 8+ hours like i have put my 5s through and you are also not factoring in voltage drop, or your impedance rise... if you had a 4x multiplier you could be sitting at 2 ohms, which that means that 2200 is doing what? 1200w? lol, im putting 3kw a piece clamped to my 5s, and I have played them for 8+ hours a day for 2 days... ask anyone at 2010 slamology seriously lol i dont remember you cooking anyof them demoing all day, both times you were at slam, even though i wasent there, i heard all bout it I burnt a hole in one of the coils, and it STILL played..... like, it was FUCKED up, and it was still loud.. thats why i swear by lvl 5s... i know XLs get louder on the power up till the 3kw-4kw range, then the 5s take over.. but i do like the insurance sub -

how much is big 3 upgrade? and would 2 yellow tops be ok? till i can get some xs or kinetiks batts. and i will get a new alt when it fails or i get even more money. depending on where you get the wire, its prob around 30 bucks, you dont HAVE to do it in 1/0 but it helps a ton more... and 2 yellowtops would be fine, and i would go with XS, ive seen the direct comparisons vs kinetiks, and I wish i had spent all my electrical on XS over the kinetiks i have... -

I know, im just saying If it was me, and im new, i would rather have a sub i know will take insane amounts of abuse... and not die.. lol i clipped the SHIT out of my 5s this year at slamology, and they still will not die... it would be damn near bulletproof for that amp -

I would rather him get a sub he cant blow, than to get a sub he could possibly blow, then come back in a week and bitch about it.. and he can also upgrade to another 2200 down the road and run them strapped to the sub -

or you can just keep what you plan on getting, and upgrade amps down the road..... I personally would go with the 5, even with that power.. just because ive been trying to blow mine, and they wont die... and i dont think the XLs would take this abuse... go with the 5s, you wont regret it -
very easy. easiest recone EVER hifonics maxximus sub is the easiest recone ever, because the cone is seperated from the basket, it just bolts down in different holes... but bump for the guy looking for some solo Xs
-
you can recone Xs to 18s, just need a basket and cone....
