I mean 6000 is half of there max.
Have nothing to do with a maxrratin. Pulse Car Audio burped a AA Arsenal with a 10 times higher RMS power, sub survived several burps.
There is a thing called boxrise, that means from boxdesign to boxdesign the Ohmload fluctuate. Most subs can take a over on there RMS rating,
but it´s not recommanded.
Link to the burped Arsenal http://www.stevemead...swells-ddbeast/
you meant to say, most non mainstream stuff can do that, 98% of mainstream stuff cant really take over their RMS.. its just 2 cheaply made..
btw, just stick with RMS, dont worry about going over it till you get some more knowledge under your belt, it will save you $ in the long run..

cant wait to put the order in friday and get 6 of the red ones coming to me
-
the gain does not work like a volume knob where if its fully up it gives out the power it states, it could be a quarter of the way turned up and produce full power, it depends on the output voltage of the head unit..
so having it at half could still be producing full power...
-
whatever can get your peak to 33hz, bitches love 33hz...
-
i wouldnt put it in your backseat, unless you can find a way to bolt it down, you get in 1 small head on collision and you are dead because the box will smack into you.. please be safe about it.. you just never know
-
21, by about 100
-
yea i dont have a meter need to take the two hour trip over to blake's [trulywickedcostoms] and see where i peak but damn its a long trip
would be well worth it though..
-
well i would exspect 800 watts lol but i dont know why at 30 hz it does a600 at .9 ohms and at 40 it does 234 at 4 ohms why the big ohm jump?
impedance rise, different frequencies have different impedance rises
-
whatever your peak is in the vehicle, run a sweep not at full tilt..., have the TL set on peak hold, whatever your highest DB is at the frequency it shows, test at that one..
and generally go 1 hz below, and above it to see if it is a big difference when testing, same volume for each test though between the 3 frequencys

2 level 4s and the 3.5k would be a sweet *smaller* setup, its HUGE compared to most non car audio forum bassheads.. but around most forums, 3-3.5k is the norm, it should do alright as long as you get a sweet box made
-
so lets get this straight, do you have level 4s or XLs, because the title says XLs, you mention XLs a few times, but then say level 4s with XL coils are XLs..
for some odd reason, its just stuck in my head you have level 4s.. and if thats the case, please refer to what i said in one of my previous posts.
If that is not the case and you do infact have XLs then get the 5k, because they can handle it just fine
-
I would say that would match up to the 3.5k decently, and the 3.5k isnt really enough to fuck up 2 level 4s, well it is.. but it isnt nowhere near as bad as what could happen with the 5k..
if you are serious about the 5k, i would switch subs and or get 2 more level 4s..

I have the electrical covered but I appreciate the looking out! and I say Lvl. 4 XL because they are the Level 4's with the XL spider and coil upgradeall in the box and electrical you better have 600 amps on tap to feed it.. i estmate 3k to 3800 is what you should get.. and the lvl4 is not a xl.. it goes 3, 4,xl,5,6,neo and thats the old line the new line is m2 but same order
no, they are not...
the motor is bigger on the XL, go look at the weight, its like 32 lbs on the level 4 where as teh XL is like 52... cant tell me soft parts = 20 lbs
i think hes trying to say his level 4's have an upgraded soft parts. not that its an xl.. could be wrong though
then its just level 4s with level 5 upgrade, but that still doesnt make it anywhere near what a XL can handle.
and if thats what he meant.. i wouldnt put a 5k to 2 level 4s, even with the level 5 softparts... thats just me.. i would do a 3500 and call it a day, because if you get any real power out of that 5k, bye bye subs

ill prob be there on the bike, car is just not the way it needs to be for me to even think about driving it to a show, let alone no audio in it what so ever lol
-
you said 2 15s in the initial post, not 4...
-
they have a .50 1911 out now, its made by a company called GI or something, its not the normal Desert eagle .50, its a new bullet all together, its the size of a quarter when the hallow points spread open, its a hefty pricetag too.
incase you didnt see that one yet

This is why it is nearly imposible to ask anything on this forum...The Constant bashing over a simple question...If your so against the post why post on it? Im sorry but if u got 4 18's or a walled setup your in no way not tryna be heard outside....yes there are times and places for this but lets be real... We all crank it up at times and reality of this is people do hear you and might think your the douchbag/asshole that your all calling this guy....the OP's question about wanting to be heard outside is something we all wanted at some point when we put walls and masses of subs...if you got 5000 watts and say your not tryna be heard your full of it....it doesnt take a wall or that much power to just get personal bass..i agree schools & residential areas is a bit rediculous to be turning it up....i personally run 2 12's 1000watts for my daily and got my 15's for when i wanna get loud (shows, meets, ect) but to have 20 members on here calling this guy a asshole and a douchbag is the childish aspect of the post...systems are for personal enjoyment and if he enjoys gettting distance and being heard then thats how he enjoys his system...not how i enjoy my setup but just a thought for those of you calling him a douchbag for ENJOYING HIS SETUP and asking how something works....whats makes some of these replys crazy is iv seen many members post videos and there in their driveway's and front yards on youtube talking about we gotta do this quick the neighbors getting Mad....does that make them douchbags too? i personally think everyone knows when your being ignorant....
being loud on the outside is illegal in almost every state... so since we are taking it this way..
i enjoy shooting at people, im going to start taking my gun and shooting at people... is that acceptable? everyones thought about it.. the people who purchased guns have had the idea before..
really wanna go this way?
see how easily your mentality can be twisted to something fucked up and stupid?
I have a wall, and the only times i turned it up was to demo *generally away from public areas/neighborhoods* or at car shows, and yes, my musical system for me is 155+ system, and im not a douche with it
edit
not being serious about shooting at people, but used that to make a point that just because some one enjoys it a certain way, doesnt mean its acceptable...

no prob, its my build so figured i would share
I need you all to move closer to KY for me, lung looks to know what he's doing and I could use his skills for my enclosure lol.
ohio is just north of KY, im sure he would be down to do a bigger build if you ask him LOL

LOL...
it might take awhile to load that up, its like 500 pics lol
-
I would see if some one could design you a better box for your vehicle, before up and selling, and starting over.
its more expensive to replace audio equipment than it is to buy a sheet of wood...
-
why not 2 12s? you got the room for it? hell, you have room for 2 15s at 7 cubes... it will be a small box for them, but it would work
i would opt for a lower version of whatever sub you were thinking
not like going from a lvl 5 to a lvl 3, but like 2 XLs or something... you have the room
edit
you can save up, and have the system you really want, or spend now, and spend later to upgrade to what you will probably end up doing either way... except if you upgrade later, you will have to replace the box as well
