1 DC 200a alt 4 Kinetik 2400s and 1 1400 was not enough for true 7k rms.... So no, to me thats not enough

if you do a wall.. since i dont think you ever said how exactly you were goign to do this..
you are looking at 4 sheets of MDF at the minimum.. thats pretty decent weight right there
then, enough batts to keep the 2 10kw amps happy... so, if you went with kinetik you are looking at atleast 3 at the minimum per amp, if not 4.. so 6-10 batts...
each batt weighs about 64 lbs or so...so thats about 700 lbs in just batts alone
trust me, i had the same setup, minus teh amps... in a similar car... and i needed to get OEM springs to keep it from dragging ass....

when you throw the 2 lvl 5s in there, with the batts and amps, it will drop it about 2".....
and, ive tried to tell ya, for daily, those amps are just to much for a level 5...
i ran lvl 5s for 2 years, and to me, i feel thats just way to much power...\
burps can handle it, i would run 1 9k to both level 5s, and for burps step it up to both.. thats it...
but hey, im just warning you

Jeff double check your tape measure on that one. ARe you really getting htat much space out of one of these things? Ive been in one I see no way possible unless you are molding it to the outside edges of the car.
got 21 out of mine, and we didnt use all available space, if he doesnt leave room for batts, and mounts the amps on the box, im sure he could make room lol

Its almost a guarantee when some one is talking about running 10k some one will say.....You are going to need 4 alts....I mean almost every time. Do people not realize most people besides Chevy and GMC 1500 owners cant fit 4 alts or even 2???????????

ok bringing me down to earth with all the info i apperciate it alot well can somone pm me so we can talk about how and what i would need to build a reliable 160 db DC system thats really what i want and willing to do just about anything to get it

or a very efficient car, and box....
or just scrap it, and get a CRX or a panda... that would get you the 160 with the equipment you listed
with 1 7k, i was only able to get 155.2 db at the headrest at 35hz on music..
theoretically doubling the power CAN yield 3db... i had 2 lvl 5 18s in a wall...
so even with 3db gain by doubling the power, thats 158...
160 is a HUGE goal, and its hard to achieve... aim for mid 50s, on music and be happy with it.. if its your daily/demo car..
if its a all out burp car that will be trailered, then yeah, 160 should be the goal.. but start off with a realistic goal first, then test and test and test till you start seeing improvements... you would be amazed how taking off a seatbelt on 1 side can yield .2 db... and at that range, .2 can cost thousands

Looking into and researching how much power im gonna need for 2 lvl 5 18s powered by the 9kamps 1 to each and need help finding mids and highs and what i need to power them with any info would help also where i can browse where to buy some good mids and highs this is all going into a 05 tiburon looking to be the loudest hatchback in my area

i wouldnt put 2 9ks on 2 lvl 5s, unless its a burp application, thats from my personal review of it.. that power is more along the lines of the lvl 6s...
audiosavings.com sells good mids and highs, and DC has the 175.4 to match up with it.. honestly, i had a lil 200w 2 channel hooked up to my mids and highs, and it kept up with my integra doing 55s on music at the headrest... dont see why the 175.4 couldnt handle that, on some decent mids

you can use a DMM to gain match amps with similar, yet probably less accuracy. But try to use a DMM to set the Crossover - it is a Crossover Calibrator that just HAPPENS to have a gain matching feature on the side....like a bonus. On top of that, it is faster.

yeah it was at school, when i called up there to talk i got a answering machine, so i went up there to talk to someone and seems all the people i need to talk to are gone. and im not upset about them fighting , shit happens, this other kid though posting it, seems to me hes just adding fuel to the fire, kids like to do that he said she said crap, and i want to stop it befor something bad comes out of it.
as much as i poke fun at cyber bullying, thats technically what it is.. and its a punishable offense.. kid could get expelled for stuff like that...

Thats what I would do, another alt and maybe 1 more d3100 and call it a day, in my personal opinion. its the reason I have 2dc 300s waiting to go on the teg, I hate voltage drop
