    I didn't see it posted anywhere but whats your resting voltage now with the ignition off? I think these types of batteries should be anywhere between 12.6 and 13 something.Don't really understand the charging out the box thing but then again I don't run XS.Never had that problem with my Kinetik batteries.

    its just to make sure they are fully topped off to provide the best power they can..

    dont have to, but its a option so when you turn your car on, your alt doesnt go *wtf bish aint charged GOOOOOOOO* instead it will go *ok cool no issues here bro*

    serious note..

    take the 1/0 back off, and i can almost assure you, you wont have that issue... the stock wires wont allow that much current to go through, so adding the 1/0, it allows more current to travel through, there fore allowing you to pull more current than normal, and dropping the voltage even lower..

    if it wasnt doing it before the 1/0, it wont do it after you take it out..

    thats what it looks like to me anyways

    Are you still running the Kinetik too? If you are mixing batteries, you should run a battery isolator. This will prevent your batteries from using each other to maintain a charge, which may be happening. If the battery you have wasn't charged and you add it to the mi, then it will suck juice from the other battery and alt, etc etc. Or something along those lines...if I'm explaining it right. :peepwall:

    thats only when using different types of batts, both xs and kinetik are deepcycle AGM..

    if it was a wetcell or drycell, it would be a big difference

    no need to do that with this batt

    We´ll see, first off, i´m gonna record a video tomorrow using a single DD m2a wired at 0.5 ohms with a rise to 1.4 ohms @ 42 hz , 4 runs of 0 gauge and a big ass HC2400 on front, and yes, that battery it´s on perfect shape...

    and while you are doing that test, dont forget to raise the RPM to see if it fixes the problem, a 2 second check to see if the RPM is the issue can solve alot....

    or you can shell out the cash to send it back, with out even testing the RPM, just to find out you need to have it at 4k

    i would just try raising the RPM first, before doing anything else...

    was that with your rpm at 4-5grand? or at idle?

    alts wont make the power till you rev them up...

    Idk about 4-5k most alts reach full output at 1700-2000 rpm, even at idle, a 2200 watt amp with box rise should not cause a drop to 11.7 full tilt or not. Sounds like a possible bad alt, I'm sure Mechman will take care of you, they have taken care of me so far. Mechman is pretty good about that.

    mine is 4, thats why i ask..

    and if the alt does lets say 80a at idle *we dont know how well its built* it might do all of it at a higher rpm, and almost none at idle..

    thanks guys, and hang tight......i am sending the prototypes back. We need to do some tweaking to them. I am gonna play with them more today and see what other fine adjustments need to be made before we are ready to send them out (the proto's).

    They probably wont be released till early 2012.......what exactly is "early"? we dont know. We do know that we wont send anything out until we are satisfied that everyone will be happy and it will do exactly what it is supposed to. This is a long process.

    thanks for the interest so far! we are excited!

    got quite a few ohio guys that are doing some insane builds here quite soon, who could use 1 or 2 of these, maybe hook up aaron aka gotz1lung :)

    i know hes been doing some smaller side builds on the side while doing tats, and we could get tons of vids of it in action.. especially with the world record holders we are friends with..

    they have a few vehicles where they will need to gainmatch 8+ amps, and 1 with 16 5ks :P

    just throwing the idea out, if you still need a few beta testers :P

    i will NOT rule you out as a beta tester...i will decide who gets one of the 3 scratch that, 2 that are left when they get back. I sent them back to d'amore to get tweaked a little (on the gain matching portion). I should have them back next week (i hope). :)

  20. Just tuneed my amps with DD-1

    today was the day i decided to tune my head unit and my amps and after many atemps i am not pleased with my bass amp. my head unit distorts at 34 of 35 on track 1 and 33 of 35 on track 2,I then changeged to track 7 and started to tune my amp i notice it distorts at less then half the gain. i then lowered all my amp eq an was able to go a bit higher. does everyone have this problem or do i have a bad amp? its a brutus BZR2400 and now my highs sound louder and over powering my subs with a MTX 600 watt amp lol

    half gain, full gain, 3/4th gain..

    none of that matters, its the voltage it receives from the head unit...

    if you send 8v, you could turn it up a 1/4th of the way and be at max power, or you can send it .25v and turn it up to 100%...

    if the DD1 is telling you its at what it needs to be for a undistorted signal, then it is :P
