And who ever told you, you can't bottom a sub out because your not over powering them, don't ever take advice from them again....
-
You play bigpimpin and decaf? If it sounds like its bottoming out it probably is. Their songs are mostly on the high 20s low 30hz range, way to low most of the time for a box tuned in the 40s
-
just don't be douche with it, like turn it down in residential areas, down at stop lights, and don't blast it when children are trying to sleep....
I always get mixed feelings when I tell people that, people tell me its their shit they can do what they want..
I tell them, I own a real ak, are you sure you want me to do what *i* want....
Just food for thought.. I'm sure if you explain how you will be respectful with it and its a hobby you enjoy they wont care anymore
-
Go to the extreme, tell them its a hobby you enjoy, or you can be out like everyone else abc be doing drugs and getting drunk... Now which one is really worse
-
did you provide tracking information and stuff to paypal? if you provided full documentation stating what happened, and that you sent it back with tracking info of it never being received by YOU, then they honestly cant really side with the seller
-
Do want
dont let this guy in rusty!
lets not forget eric the past sunday, or saturday, i cant remember did a 139.0 park and pound....
but, i know how well the box was built because my buddy did it, so i understand why it did that
are any of CJ's scores goin up in the records? =]
can i haz team?
hes actually done with audio... alot of drama bs with quite a few people.. and he doesnt want to be apart of that lol

ive done hairtricks with the titanic song

with a typical rock track, most of the kick drum should be coming out of the midbass speakers, not the sub woofers. If you have really muddy sounding bass when listening to rock music, fix your midbass and stop trying to make your subs play kick drum music.
And none of that even considers how well the music is recorded. That is a VERY difficult part of the music to record well and often times is overlooked.
you summed it up nicely

lvl 5s are great in 5.5 cubes or so.. could prob go smaller
-
Yes, thanks guys.
Now, as a benefit to reducing enclosure sizes, I'm wondering how this would work in a transmission line build ??? As in > 2 18"s that only require 10 cubes total, instead of 20 cubes X's two ! Because 10 cubes I can swing.... 40 cubes is out of the question
Thanks again guys,
Good info,
Fish
depends on the 18s man... lvl 5 18s are better in about 5.5 cubes a piece....
-
i got 6x2.5x28 = 36.35hz with 15 sq inch of port area per ft, because it takes the gross from 1.45 down to .98 cubic feet
-
says 39 on torres.. lol man, did you try those links?
-
1.5X4=6 leaving 1 cube for port unless you're figuring 1.25 for each 12. I'd do whatever you feel like, why not 4 12's since you have the airspace. I hate regular cab Dodge owners. I think I have maybe 2.3 or so behind my Regular cab GMC full size
yeah, your right... i kept reading that as 1.25 for some odd reason LOL
-
-
says your tuned to 51hz on torres box calc...
-
http://www.reaudio.com/documents/sex_manual[2011].pdf
says 1.5 ported for the minimum of the 12...
why not do 4 12s ported at the minimum, like it says and yes, the specs are backwards for the 10 and the 15... but the 12 stays the same..
that gives you 5 cubes for just the subs to play with, you still have 2 cubes to make the port
-
So you only prove the idiocy. Are you telling me you have not run RE? So then it is safe to assume you have no experience with the sub in question. And your only reason for recommending RE is because of a personal situation between you and DC. So then...a biased opinion with no actual thought towards the users setup.
Hey there dumb fuck i recommend DC
and i have played around with enough of the RE products to know how they are
he wasnt talking to you...

The 20 has no warranty, not sending a new guy to buy with it a warranty, its like a 16 year old driving without insurance

why not 4 lvl 5s on 4 aq 3500s? that would work out nicely..
and that saves a ton of $... compared to 8 amps..
4 AQ 3500s isnt that a lot more than the sub is rated? Why 4 AQ 2200 ha
you dont have to run stupid power to the subs to get loud, i ran 1 7k to 3 lvl 5s and was pulling 55s on music at the head....
4 3500s vs 8 2200s, you will get alot more power out of the 8 but the lvl 5s love 3000 rms daily, which after rise, you might be sitting at 2800~ or so with the 3500s, which matches up to them perfectly
but 4000+ out of 2 2200s strapped to each lvl 5... and that requires a shit ton more electrical..
its almost 20kw with 8 2200s its around 14kw with the 3500s..
8 2200s are 3440$
4 3500s are 3200$
but you are also saving alot by not requiring as much electrical to run the 4 3500s as you would the 8 2200s...
just in case you missed this, i ran level 5s for 2 years on 3000rms clamped a piece, and beat the living hell out of them.. they will be reliable at that power range and continue to work for years with that power, if its clean.. LOL

4 3500 isn't that a bit much why not just four 2200?
you said 8 2200s, but think 4 3500s is to much?
lol, im done with this thread, i hope whatever you do works out for you man LOL

the most fucked up thing i can think of during this whole thing... they can put this on the news, with coverage... but cant show video evidence of the killing of osama... really?
really?
Touche
This was public ... Osama's wasn't.
it doesnt matter... if WE as a nation can put it on the news, we can put the video evidence of osama on the news as well... hes still the hide and seek champion in my book, because there is still NO PROOF... and hell, im in the military and dont believe it..
help with some dc audio lvl 5's
