You know steve, I have always wondered the same thing. The meter picks up some kind of interference from something. It's happened with numerous computers and meters, and it does it only occasionally. Don't think that I'm trying to forge my numbers or anything. ;D No need for that. I've proven my scores at shows too. I don't know what it is, but it does that every so often.

After over a year of hard abuse, bottoming it out, full tilt test tones at 4x its rated power, after streetbeat and driveby runs, I finally killed it. I was doing a USACi streetbeat run, and it was loud as all hell. Did a 149.5 for the 30 second average, and at the end of the run it toasted. Oh well. it's about time it died. ;D

WOW! How did I never see this thread before? Sorry for making you guys wait. I had no idea this thread was here! Anyways, the single 10" type-r setup does a 151.0 in the kick (outlaw) and a 147+ on the dash (db drag legal), both at 44 hz. It's NOT a TCAB box, I make all of my own boxes. The single 10" box is about 2 cubes, and yes it does use aeroports. My truck HATES being sealed up. No air to move around. I lose a good 4-5 dB just by closing up the door. With the door open, the kick and dash are only ~1 dB apart. Thus why I don't bother doing street A. :'( here's the show results with the 151.0 score: http://www.mecacaraudio.com/eventresults.a...spx?eventid=376 My name is tom kaczmarczyk. My score is in street 1, and then you can go to the "Phat awards" tab and see that I won "Phat 10", meaning I had the loudest single 10" there. The setup DOES play music (very well ), it did a 147.3 in USACi streetbeat (30 seconds of music, in the kick) and will do over a 140 in bassrace. And with the way I have it set up now, it does a 149+ at the passenger headrest at 42 hz. And if I feel like being uncomfortable, I will slam music on it daily. The single 15" type-r I got up to a 154.3 in the kick, 148 on the dash, and a 150.5 at the driver's headrest. Here's some pics of the single 15" box. Yes it is a tight squeeze, and yes it is uncomfortable to sit like that. ;D I only have it in there at shows/meets. I'll take the box out and put it in the bed for the drive to the show. Any other things you guys would like to know? Since the single 10" setup is in there right now, maybe I'll go take a few crappy vids (my vid camera sucks) just to show you guys? I'll even play music ;D

I have a dark blue 1990 S-10 longbed. I'll be most likely running a single 10" type-r and my kicker zx2500 in M1 or S1.

Well, according to MECA, this year we are allowed to jam our stereos at designated times, so I may not even see the car show at all anyways. Either way, it should be a great time.

Once again, MECA will be hosting a triple point show at the Carl Casper international car show in louisville, KY. The show is february 23-25. the 23rd is for local louisville competitors ONLY. Potts termlab worked fine the last time I had seen it. I HIGHLY doubt he would sell you a broken termlab on purpose, especially with his reputation the way it is now. He's trying to build it back up, not make it worse. :-X I would post on termpro in the termlab section and have you troubleshoot EVERYTHING.

This was the first real box that I built for my truck, and is actually still my daily driver box! It wasn't ported at first. It was sealed for about a week before I tore it apart and added a slot port. After it was ported and then carpeted That amp is long gone, but I still have that seXXX. I use it in my home theater now.

Sorry that I'm replying to this thread so late, I don't visit this forum much. I was there, and competing. I was in S1/SR1/DB1 with the dark blue s-10 regular cab.

Thread is a few days old, but I thought I'd add my stuff in here. :)I've done about 20 shows I would say in the past year or so. Most of those being MECA shows (I have done one USACi show doing streetbeat only, and I am hitting up a local show this sunday. ;D )For a trophy total....32 trophies and 8 medals.
