  1. a few other blazer owners said 21 tall 31 deep and 45 wide..... but i gained more cubes by doing 25 tall 45 wide an 26 deep.... i dont think you can go any bigger, and i was able to keep my batts in the back as well. port is 12x12x17.25
  2. setting up batts and carpeting battery rack still deciding on sanding/painting or going carpet. im uploading a few vids of the new tweets taking over the dash speakers. with one battery and one alt it already feels like a 150 down low.... should be damn loud once everythings put back together. and rebraced.
  3. i clamped mine on stock alt at 31xx but was dipping into the 9's. I will reclamp in the future. at one ohm it was 27xx
  4. get rid of it, they are garbage. That amp has an inteli q setting anyway.
  5. i got most of the box done today, all i need to do i finish cutting the IDs and double baffle, then the subs get wired and put in, as well as the amps/batts. have to run one more run of 0 from the front. should have it up and testing tomorrow. Going to bondo and paint the box once i know it all checks out. anyway heres a few more pics i snapped.
  6. Iran that amp at a quarter ohm for two months, only went into protect a few times because of user error, they will take it just watch voltage
  7. i dont think so? Should i place the port towards the bottom of the enclosure, or in the middle? Will be firing towards the hatch.
  8. This is my daily driver in the summer, i didnt want to get too crazy with electrical upgrades so i bought the btls off cnate777, ill be able to add another amp if im not satisfied, without too many mods. My box is going to be right at 12 cubes @ 34hz. Running 2 runs of power ground, 250 amp alts (one installed for now until i get bracket and second amp) orion 5000d @ .5 ohm RF p400.4 bunch of mids/highs components i dont feel like naming. 2 hc2400 and 1 hc2000, 2 runs of power/ground still should be louder than my level 4's anyway... old box/subs dampener going to take this and round off all corners Still have to put the box together, cut bracing/baffles, run wire etc. I want to have it going by this weekend since im off. Criticism welcome, and ya i know weaksauce on the power, but being a student and working balls to afford it all maxed my budget out for a couple month.
  9. Where r u buying the xls from if you go that route?
  10. yeah, i going to wire them at 1 ohm tomorrow and see if its a significant difference in output... but if it is ill just go back to .25... Its worked strong so far... ill just have to watch my voltage.
  11. yeah each sub is at .6 ohm going into each channel of the amp.... there are two slots... i was told that it was 2 1500d's internally...
  12. its gone into protect a quite a few times because of low voltage but i have daily listented to it around 12 volts for long periods of time with no consequences... i assumed it was a poor ground.
  13. I have an orion 5000d, which is 2 amps strapped. Its 1 ohm stable and i have 2 Dual 1 ohm woofers wired all pos. pos. neg. neg. When i look up the wiring diagram for 1 sub it shows .5 ohms the way i have one wired.. So being that i have 2 wired the same way does that mean i have my amp wired at .25 ohms? Which would explain the massive voltage drop and the stupid loud system? lol i have a 250h/o alt big three and 2 kinetic hc 2000's and i dip into the 10's at times....
  14. how do they determine the window line, tape measure from floor? and is it sub below window, or box?
  15. Yeah, i jumped on after the event was over, they were cool about it... put in a test tone cd and said i was strongest around 40..iirc i did a 149.x at 40... blasted the ac for a bit and did the 151 yes, i think its at 33hz... bcpballer designed it for me.
  16. what is superstreet 1-2? when i did have the opportunity to jump on the meter with a stock battery under the hood i did a 151.1 @ 41hz sealed up
  17. if you double it you wont see shit... thats a few of my samples and thats not even 5%..... but be aware that only MPV's can have 5% on rear windows. If your wall is black, you could do 30% and it would look like you have a sheet of vinyl over the back glass.
  18. There is a local show by me on the first sat of every month that is a sanctioned db drag/bass race. I always went and checked out other set ups but never really looked into competing. Anyway, i know i probably need measurements, but i do have a h/o alt, 1 batt in the rear... and i think im right at the window line with the sub box. I have a false floor that raises the box, i could probably take it out and flushmount the woofers if need be. heres a couple pics to help visualize it. thanks guys
