  1. It's not entirely true. Overall CPR is around 30% successful. That statistic is taking into consideration hospital and out in the field situations. As a Respiratory Therapist normally in a hospital setting I am one of those who perform CPR most often. I have had patients who have recovered and some who didn't. The new guidelines state for adults that you no longer worry about giving breaths, it is around 100 compressions a minute. With kids you still administer breaths because normally with kids, it's not a cardiac issue. Recently I had a leukemia patient we performed CPR on 3 times (she didn't make it after the last one) I have never broken any ribs (yet) I can say this, I often leave a code blue situation feeling like Popeye after 30 minutes of that workout

  2. You must be an SPL competitor -- you then contact me with some information about yourself and I determine if you are qualified.

If SPL stands for Sleep, Play and Laugh then I have two members for Team Sundown.

His name is Kendrell II, but he goes by "Big Daddy" and if nothing else, he strikes a mean pose

Her name is Keyona and I guarantee if you try to sneak cookies past her, she'll hit at least 145 dB on a TL (and No, mic placement does not matter!)

  3. Telling you... NOBODY is ever happy... if I post a score at the dash at the vehicle frequency it's too high... if I post one in the 30s it's not low enough... if I use a frequency that is too long to build up in a short ass car and meter MECA style then someone doesn't care about that *laughs*

If we tuned this setup to hit the dash at the resonant peak it would be well over 150 dB. We are show-casing lower frequencies... and in a vehicle as short as a CRX the low frequency cannot build up sealed up so, just as if you were jamming your system going down the road, we opened it up and metered right where your head would be -- seems pretty realistic to me :)

Jacob you of all people should know that haterz are everywhere. I say WTF, 149.7 in a CRX with one sub, HOT DAMN, that just goes to show what Sundown is all about. I don't compete anymore (my kids won't let me) but for the Camry, the wife's Windstar and my (new) 64 Chevy Impala (just got it) I will use Sundown Amps and Subs, keep it coming.

  4. I read through the whole thing, if you got the money back too short... Why do you feel that you are entitled to any of it? Fedex is spending money to replace an item. That item is no longer yours. Your opinion, his opinion, everyone's opinion does not matter here. Its fedex's opinion on the item. Fedex Reimbursed you when they should have reimbursed the OP. Bottom line, OP rightfully won a $500 subwoofer, which was messed up in shipping according to fedex's $500 reimbursement. He should be entitled to the $500 then. Call me wrong, but you already got $350 for your sub out of the auction. The subwoofer no longer has your name on it. You sold it, you got the amount of money you wanted for it. What makes it right for you to get an extra $500 on top of the $350 you already got for it after the fact that it is no longer yours.

I have to agree with this. If FedEX paid to replace the item, it should have went to whomever owned it and in this case tooshort was no longer the owner.

  5. As we begin to celebrate Christmas, please take time to let loved ones know that you care. Five years ago today, I lost one of the most important persons in my life. You've heard of Tyler Perry's "Madea", well "Big Momma" was the originator. She passed from breast cancer, and one very important lesson she taught me was to never take today for granted, so however you celebrate this holiday season, let your loved ones know that you love them, and have a Merry Christmas!
