I can say that with my Kicker's (I have a 97 Toyota Camry) if I leave the seats down and face them towards the rear of the vehicle it seems to sound louder. The box is ported if that has anything to do with it.
-
Well I will wait and find out, hold on to that design I will be getting that box from you
-
So if I have this correct the box is with the sub facing towards the backseat, will this clear my speakers in the rear deck?
-
I have never dealt with an RF amp that big before but I did have a MOJO and it was BADASS! They are power hungry but I was not disappointed at all.

I am running (2) of the 12" SoloBaric L5's with a Memphis PR-1000D (until my rebuild) I have to be honest these are some nice subs. They have never quit on me, I know they aren't the top dog out there but they do sound good. I got these because I was getting ready to try and compete for another company (I won't mention the name but it Really Did not come together for my Audio needs). So until I finish my rebuild these will do

well what does an upgradded fi 18 run.. the treo ssx subs which are close to the fi,s you can get for about 550 to 580 maybe even lower in some places.
Check Fi's website, I think an 18" is like $439
-
alot of hoopla about the FI subs, not saying there bad cause i looked into some myself, but check out the CXT monsters from TREO and see what you think, these subs are for high spl only
I have never owned these subs but I did go to a show in KC and this guy had a Caprice Wagon and a Tahoe and they sounded pretty good, for the price, I'm going with the Fi BTL's
-
Okay (1) 15" Fi BTL + (1) Sundown SAZ-3000D = :hairtrick: ? Just curious I have always wanted to do that, maybe with the seat down?
-
well my questimation is us ing davids sketch:
3.481cuft
no bracing
2 4" ports 11" deep since it needs 1/2 the radius in clearance thats as long as it can be without a bend
37.37hz
which should work
edit....opps i cant do math lol... changed #s
So will this box work for the BTL?
-
I was shooting for 35Hz. I will check with David and see, maybe I can get him to build me the same box
-
yes but alot has to do with install
and if u were going to do 2 12" bls which need at least 1000w each....
u might as well get a 15" fi btl on aq2200d/kickerzx2500/sundown3000d
Looking at David's box plan, will that be acceptable for a BTL?
-
price drop to 120...comn guys..
How much shipped to 67219?
-
the 15 will fit
2 12s wont... with too small of port suface area u still only have 3cuft
Sound wise will there be a noticable difference with just (1) 15 instead of (2) 12's?
-
okay which one do I run (2) 12" Fi BL's or (1) 15 " BL. Not trying to compete just listen to music.
-
Is it for a 15"? I might change my plans a litle bit and save some money.
-
I'm getting ready to do a Camry, I don't know what year it is but you have some room to play with
this is the box I'm getting ready to build
I have a 97, how is that box going in, will it fit flush against the back seat?
-
umm 10s maybe
closest i got was:
30x16x18
40sqin port(which is really small)
3cuft
thats enough for 1 15 or a little big for 2 10s... u need 3.6cuft minumum for 2 12
The box I have now is 16 x 36 x 14, It is a ported box for my Kicker L5's. If I kept that size would it work?
-
Okay I need help! I have NEVER built an enclosure before, but I am wanting to build one for my (hopefully) new subs, I want the Fi Audio 12 BL's. I am going to run 2 of them in a ported box. I will tune it to around 35Hz and I am going to power the subs with the Sundown Audio SAZ-3000D. My specs are as follows: H, L, D) 16 x 30 x 18. This is going in the back of a 97 Toyota Camry. I don't know which will sound better: subs firing up, port to the rear or subs and port both to the rear. Can someone please help with a design for this thing? Thanks!

Damn I wish I could go, my money ain't right. Anybody from the Dub K going?

I think Steve may be the one to ask about this one

I do it because my sound output is better, with the deadener the rattles are minimal.
