I may have to pull out the credit card to make the Ottawa show, I want to hear this "Oldsmobile Cutlass" that some guy who goes by "Sodfamily" has. Oh yeah and I need to meet "Kandiman 71874" So he can be introduced to the "BigBodyLexus"
-
Either one of those should be able to do it, I'll be using the Sundown Audio Z-15's when I go for my first hairtrick
-
I need to upgrade my mids and highs so I'm looking for a good set of 1" tweets and 6 1/2 " mids. My budget is tight but I will open up the checkbook for the right set.
-
Would you consider selling it?

Don't get too comfortable in that one, It will belong to the Mrs. before too long. Enjoy it while you can

A few reasons :
1) SPL competitors would pop them at 0.25 ohm burps
2) Everyday customers don't check the fuses periodically to make sure they are tight -- if they get loose they can melt or even catch on fire.
3) Small efficiency gain... if you have a 1500D and run it at 0.5 daily go feel the fuses after you play it hard for a while... they will be warm. Heat = power loss
I must be a noob because I would have never thought of that.

Wouldn't plan on him making that one, but you could always bring yer ass up to the 3x in Ottawa you know lol
Make me slap you, naw, for real I do want to come up there but my money may not be right. I would rather go to Ottawa than Pittsburg but deez damn kids is expensive
-
Please tell me you're coming down to Pittsburg, I have got to hear this
-
How do you come up with this stuff? better yet where you buy your w--d from? Just kidding. the Mad Scientist of SPL is at it again.
-
I am looking forward to this one
-
I always run under the carpet, what kind of vehicle is it?
-
I bet that amp is a beast
-
i dont like ported sound i dont care about spl .i had a nightshade did it right did not like the sound .not saying its not a good driver which it is the guy i sold it to loves it..just like the accuacy and the sound of a high powered sealed application..i cant jump on the ported and loud is better bandwagon...
Then go with the SA series. I have the SA-12's and I love them, my next step is the Z V.2 12's, ported of course!
-
If I'm not mistaken I believe where they are built, but for sure I know that the SAE models don't go below 1 ohm.

Finally, it's time to take Pacquiao to school, Mayweather will win this one

I've never worried about matching batteries... even AGM and regular Lead Acid cells. Never had any issues... the parasitic draw may become an issue if the car is parked for LONG periods but not in a daily driver.
I'm trying my best to become a part of Team Sundown, so now to help my amp out with a little more juice, oh yeah J. Fuller you should be able to answer this question. If I do a re-cone for the SA-12's with the aluminum coils, will there be a dramatic difference when playing around the 40-42Hz range?

Okay so after my first show I am thinking that my decision on electrical will be as follows: 150 amp alternator and a Kinetik HC1400 in the trunk. I already have the Big 3 upgraded and I think I will add one more run of 1/0 ga. just for good measure. As long as the batteries are the same design (both will be AGM, but two different brands) do the brand names have to match?
-
Way to go man. I wanted to be at that show....But work comes first.
Nice score, you gonna be at the Ottawa shows?
Yes, I need a demo from you so I'll be there, "Team Holley" will be there

Okay so I took the Camry to Pittsburg Kansas yesterday to a show and found out that (1) SAZ-1500D, (2) SA-12's, & 3 runs got me a 142.3 and this.
They clamped the amp at 963 watts (had to stay in the 1000 watt range) volume was 10/30. Voltage was around 12.6, no H/O alternator and the extra battery isn't even worth mentioning but I took 3rd in the Nationals category for this show. I was amazed. The last time I competed was 19-- and I had a Suburban. What's amazing is my first run I did a 140.1 with 1164 watts, second run was a 140.6 with 1086 watts. Turning the volume down and opening a door or two made my score higher. Now that I've done that I need to be louder.
-
Show off!!, I'm just kidding. That looks awesome. I promised her after I got the SA-12's and the 1500D I was done but I really want to hit 150 Db
-
For 2000 watts, I would look at the Sundown Audio Z series.
-
I would double check the rules of whatever that organization is but I don't see why you should.
-
Okay if someone on here has them, sound off now. Okay I just saw that video, 4K Watts?
SAZ3500 WOW
in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!

Yeah but that drive to Pittsburg from Wichita is so boring. I spent most of my time the last drive watching TV. If you're scared and don't want to meet me in the lanes it's cool.
