  1. Out of my songs, your best bet is to try bands like Rhapsody and Luca Turilli. They are almost all double kick with short breaks that sound good on a system. Other ones you should try are Stratovarius, Switchblade Symphony, Blind Guardian, Gorgoroth, Borknagar, Black Dahlia Murder... For some reason I can't think of any more right now. I just have way too much.
  2. Rhapsody - Holy Thunderforce, Emerald Sword, Black Dragon....almost anything by them Luca Turilli - Legend of Steel Otep - Warhead (the version I have slams on the dbl kick, some don't) Slayer - Angel of Death (there's actually a part where all music stops and dbl kick keeps going...) Stratovarius - Stratosphere those are just a few I can think of... I have tons more, just gotta go through my list again.
  3. I've only had one speeding ticket and it was 127 in a 65 in the Cruiser. And BEFORE you call BS , it was going from 29 Palms to Palm Springs on the 62 going down that steep hill coming out of the lip at the bottom of the mountain. I'm sure some of you know the place. I didn't get pulled over though, it was aerial. The ticket was mailed to my house. EDIT: It took a long time to get there. Pedal to the metal, burying the needle downhill straightaway.
  4. List more of what you're seeing in the blue screen. My team and I out in Iraq wrote a huge database with about 90% of all possible BSOD codes and the fixes for them. All I need is the code at the bottom...
  5. A few years back my buddy was working at a Chrysler dealership and they had seven brand new Chrysler 300s with chrome rims come in one night for a delivery... The next morning ALL seven were on cinder blocks. I got a kick out of seeing that on my lunch break. Wish I had a pic..
  6. Hmm... I'm liking the Mayhems. But what about these SMD subs coming out? Should I keep those as a prospect?
  7. So my plan was to do 8 15" Fi BLs in a ported tunnel in the cruiser, but after cutting the 'tunnel' and test fitting, it's just not going to cut it for airspace. And instead of just going for it, I gotta stop and rethink what has to happen. Now I gotta come up with something else creative... Since I have two 4KWs, I want to use every last bit of it. I'm starting to give up on the cone area and jump to less quantity/larger subs. What do you guys think? I'd like some ideas. Money isn't much of an object, I just wanna know what subs (2-4 max) to go with and an idea for enclosure. If I don't get many responses, I might just do two BTL or TSNS 18s on a ported wall. Can't go wrong with that.
  8. That's the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard. Here's something for you: (212) 870-3400
  9. I've heard every Memphis sub in almost every application except a MOJO in a sealed box so I can't really say how they will perform. I think what would be good for andyb0x is the Memphis M3s. Two in a sealed box on 1000W always sound beautiful with all music. I have another guy selling this exact setup if you're interested. Shoot me a pm.
  10. The MOJOs are very crisp if you give them a good signal and enough power. I had four on a wall and my buddy has two in his trunk. (Ported of course) And he only listens to metal.
  11. With the router accessory I mentioned, you don't even have to draw anything. Just pick where you want it, how big it should be, and cut it out. With a good bit on the router, it's perfect. Smoother than a baby's ass.
  12. I just use a Router Buddy. It's cheap and easy to use. You drill a hole in the center of the circle you want to cut, adjust the jig to the right length, set the router on it and start cutting. EDIT: Oh, you said draw. A basic compass would work like Derrick said.
  13. Oh, good. For a minute there I was worried nobody wanted to do this! I'll update the list at the top when more recommendations are made. Post your potential builders or yourself!
  14. Yeah, you're right. Or .5 if you wanted
  15. Only problem with that is you'd be getting the same wattage total because your ohm loads wouldn't match up. You'd be running each pair at 2-ohms. EDIT: Sorry for pulling this way off topic. I thought you asked for more power. My bad.
  16. You can do as many grounds as you want, but I would split up where they were at if you're using stock bolts in the back. You gotta make sure you're bolting to the chassis and not sheet metal also. (I'm not sure of your experience, I'm not trying to sound condecending). Try running your wires under the car and into the back through a drain plug or somewhere else. That saves any trouble going through the firewall. And after you ground your batteries, just ground the amp to the - on the battery. I'm running a 4KW right now on a 300A alt and 5 Kinetik batteries and it does fine (now that I fixed my problem for those of you keeping tabs). What's your budget on adding more power?
  17. You could do 1 18" Fi BTL on a SAZ-3000. That would be within budget and sound real nice in a ported box. The rest would go toward wires and misc.
  18. As far as your ground, just run negative wires from the battery in front. Running a 4kw would still only be 1k+ to each and it would eat up that electrical system. (When I say 4kw, I mean the MCD4KW). Why not do four MCD2500s, get some better batteries and maybe upgrade your alts to 300 or so. That would be absolutely awesome! The subs would take it like a French whore on Mardi Gras EDIT: I'm just mentioning Memphis products because I'm guessing you like them.
  19. What's your budget? If you don't list that, we can't make good recommendations.
  20. Wow...I was totally going by 12s. Now I look like a dumb ass.
  21. If your MOJOs are heating up, then it's more than slightly. What kind of electrical setup do you have?
