Im thinking of strapping 2 BRZ 1200.1Ds but im not sure that i can? Im not sure but i thought i saw somewhere you cant? Can someone help me out. I cant find anything anywhere to help
Yes, you can strap these amps but you will need a MaxxLink in order to do so.
This is true for almost any mono amp that does not already have the strapping feature built in.
Many of the higher power Hifonics mono amps have the strapping feature built in.

There are alot of great head phones and most of them have been mentioned already.
However, here is a recommendation from someone who flies 100,000 miles plus per year and not only enjoys good sounding music but also cares about comfort and noise cancellation.
Try the Sony MDR-NC60 ($199.00) or the ultra nice MDR-NC500D ($399.00)
http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores...categoryId=3728
They are available Sony direct or Best Buy.
If you are not concerned about noise cancellation, try one of the other recommended models.

So, No way possible to hook both remote wires to one knob huh? How bout I send you my 06 and we switch it out for an 07? haha
No.
I'm really sorry about that but the change to a new design was just abslutely necissary.
We have used that type of remote for many years and progress just had to happen.
Honestly, the bass remote should be set and forget anyway.
Most people do not even install them.
-
These amps are 2006 (top) and 2007 (bottom).
2007 also have the mounting feet as part of the end panel and not seperately installed.
The differances are a new and faster chip set on the driver board, new torroids (differant winding count), improved efficiency, plus they have the future capability of being linkable.
Performance to your ears is similar but electronicically and accoustically better.
Actually, at CES 2008 we are celebrating our Hifonics 25th Anniversary and will release a new look for Brutus and Zeus.
They will be silver (25th = silver anniversary) with black chrome end panels.
They will be identical the 2007 version with new cosmetics.
Sorry for the bass remote change on the 2006 to 2007 but it was an upgrade.
-
The amp on the bottom is the newest version.
It has upgrades over the old one and is an all around better performing amp.
-
The Brutus BXi2607D is 2600 watts RMS at 14.4 volts / 1-Ohm and is linkable.
The Crunch Ground Pounder amp is the GP3000D-Pro which is 3000 watts (+) at 14 volts / 1-Ohm and is linkable.
It's the only RMS rated Crunch amp because it is the competiton version.

I have a blown or at least to me its a blown BXI 1606D i want to sell it cause im just gonna start over with a system. Im thinking 120 shipped. Also i have a TXI 4006 it works just fine just stripped screws replaceable so i was thinking about 50 shipped for that. Any help would be nice. If your interested in it let me know too. Im up for offers and everything thanks.
Joe
The best thing to do is call us and we will determine if it is blown or salvagable.
(847) 540-7700 and ask for tech support.
It's pretty tough to sell something not working.
Is it going to cost $35.00 to fix it, $60.00, $110.00...???
No way to know for sure so in the event it is defective it is almost always worth fixing.

If you want to stay in business more then 6 months, only sell product that you are authorised from the manufacturer to sell.
Put together a business plan and aproach the manufacturer direct with your ideas.
If you are not authorised you will end up screwing people out of warranty and once your reputation is just another fly by night no warranty support e seller, your sales are gone and the leagal trouble begins.
As a manufacturer of 12 volt electronics for 26 years, I've seen this more times then we have all had birthdays added up.
If you can manage to get manufacturer support, start small.
- A few popular models and a few accessories.
- Look for the most dependable products with lowest return rates.
- 2, 4 and 5 channel amps (not big mono amps that get abused 1500 watts max)
- Accessories are always good. They usually don't break (EQ's, X-Overs, wire, cables... low cost over head items are agood idea).
- State your warranty policy truthfully
- Never ignore your customers requests/communications for even one day (especially problem related communications).
-
I've got to go with the RE on this one too.
Dave is the man over there and he knows his subwoofers.
-
Cool!
Glad to see you finally got your new Ground Pounder amp.
We sell tons of them and get great reviews.
Can't wait to see your reaction when you get a GP3000D-PRO!

The web site looks awsome Rusty.
Nice bats!

Dave, thank you for the information. Like I have mentioned before, the RF amp is where I am more likely to go, it has just been a research period. I have made hasty purchases too many times before, only to find out what I thought would be ideal ended up being 2nd best. I have not had any experience with the RF power series amps, and the only place around me that I know of is Best Buy. Somehow I doubt that I would ever be able to check one out in person there. Thanks to this forum, I have a lot of faith in them, especially for a product that I have never even seen in person. Your information is quite helpful in the reinforcement of that faith. Well, I have a little over half the $ set aside to get one, I will be buying soon.

Linking two amps ?
in Amplifiers
Posted
When you say "The amps are basically the same amp just different cases", I hope you mean they are exactly the same electronically.
If not 100% the same, dont link them or you will certainly damage one or both of them.
