  1. CVR's x1000 definently hate how the punches sound and the cvr as stated early "Get down" definently do work
  2. x2 on the sundown. and there was a thread on here a couple days ago of people burning up memphis amps due to the volt drops
  3. you're gonna have to run it down to 1 ohm... not real sure on them, sundown has some good stuff, the rockford amps are one ohm stable this is how you'd wire.. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woof...mp;woofer_imp=4
  4. ya, i've heard of alot of people punching wholes in the cones with a screw drivew and such but not much i can do against that i still think the most effective way is to be careful of where you're bumping and if you're gonna park in a neighbor don't go in there shakin houses
  5. yea for sure, but i got car alarm and stuff, but no doubt anyone good at what they do will get it no problem, i'm just thinkin average homo highschool/college/drug dealers that want a quick buck and are out to take it to be cool... i think if they tug once, tug twice, then want to get out of there by then
  6. i'd say the L7's but looking at the power... 2,000 to 3,000's is a noticable difference with the cone area on top... i say go find someone with a zx2500 laying around and borrow it for the day
  7. my buddy just got his car broken into, lost subs and deck, amp was screwed in so they couldn't take it what have people done??? under my sub i have the third row seats folded down so i can't really bolt them in here's what i was thinking, i've never heard of this before but think it would be effective, how about lay down a couple of strips of heavy duty velcro on the carpet, then on the bottom of the box??? my subs and box are pretty heavy as we all should know, but that weight then the velcro wouldn't slide and would be held down pretty good... kinda crazy idea, anything else???
  8. haha and what am i gonna tune this beast to??? haha but if i drill new holes, that three different screw spots, in the same spot haha, it'll all be broken uppp
  9. not sure it's a whole new pc board, the only thing i have documented from kicker on me is that they replace the c17-1mf, which is the capacitor, you're right) it could be the amp though... like i said that's all they've replaced, and my amp went out a third time, so i'm not sure what the problem is this time. that's why i want a different amp and if the same thing goes wrong, then i'll know it's something i'm doing on the rca's, i'm running the kicker rca's, kinda expensive but they're nice, and i hooked my rca's into another car right next to mine, and still nothing as far as checking the ohm load on the sub, haven't done that, but i ran it on my buddies zx750 for a couple of days and no problems with anything... i'm out of ideas on what it could be, that's why i want to exchange for a different zx1500 another thing, i've put my sub into the box twice, first time drilled pilot holes, screws went in good, second time it seemed that probably 6/8 of the screws went in crooked... i'm afraid to pull the sub out then drill it in and have the wood fall apart on me and have them not grip... i'm using 3/4" mdf and know it splits sometimes... any ideas on how to fix this??? i have more slabs of mdf but don't want my sub up on a pyramid haaha
  10. chea, everytime i ship it in, i get it back in a new factory refurbished box, blah blah, straight from kicker. like last time they had to swap out the part number c17-1mf, they're doing something evertime but it's still reoccurring sub is one 15" L7 4 ohm, wired to 2 ohms, i know how the kicker amps work, headunit is in my sig
  11. got it i had the local kicker authorized dealor install, and we've pulled the wires out, and put everything back in, nothing's shorting out, power goes to the amp fine, just no output... i think it's the amp... they keep fixing, and sending me back the same one. i'm saying it's a bad amp. (period) and they should just send me another, or just one that works, it's something internally with the amp
  12. for sure man, and it get's old... quick ha, like i've been staring at my sub in my garage thinking... wooooooooow, this is fucking gay, and i dont have a second amp to hook up
  13. that's what i though, but look at what i'm seeing, this is the third time i've had to send it back... dont remember what was wrong with it first time, but the last reason was 'cracked capacitor' and then the part number for what they replaced... i've thought about user error but nothing's wrong... gain is properly set, bass boost was no more than a quarter up, pushing like 14.2-14.5 volts... i've run other amps in my car with no problems also, and i've hooked my zx1500 up in other cars and it just doesn't work i mean if something goes out on it, and they fix it and it works good, i'm happy, but everytime i send it in, it's 3 weeks... and this is the third time... and like we both said, i'm glad they're helping and talking to me... but nothing's getting done, and i'm not happy til i get an amp that works flawlessly haha
  14. bought my amp new online, ZX1500.1 through a kicker authorized dealor, brand new, not B stock. hooked it up the first time... didn't work, sent it in got it back, hooked it up, ran for 45 minutes, cut out, didn't work, shipped it back same day i recieved it got it back again today, ran it for probably close to 45 min to 1 hour, thing cut out again. i called today bitched my brainzzz out, and the lady that took all my info for my return/warranty fix said she understands why i'm frustrated and wrote in the notes for the return to send me a new amp. we can hope ha, i've had everything hooked up for no more than 2 hours, and i bought this thing on august 1st, it's litterally been in the back of a ups truck sense then. i'm pretty fed up with this, and always thought kicker was a good company, i can't ever see myself purchasing there stuff in the future, although i must say i'm glad everything's warrantied and they are taking care of it... well not really fixing anything, but they can think they're doing something ha anyone else had anything like this happen???
  15. damn man i feel you on what you're going through, car audio wise at least your getting it replaced just keep fighting it and make sure you get what you had, i've just been looking at my sub, ampless in my garage for the past two months... then on the drug use, my girlfriends sister last night was arrested on domestic battery, she was swinging golf clubs and shit as she was coming down from her meth high, 5 cops and the patty wagon came down and her husband just got out of prison 3 days ago, while his wife was out on the streets. pretty much my gf and her whole family are just done and don't know what to do, my gf's sister also has 3 kids who my gf takes care of and they're going to be taken life's rough man, just think of everything you have to look forward to and smile, life's good just look for the positives
  16. two of my friends just asked about capacitors... i said don't waste your damn money and caps are for fegssss what are peoples views on them??
  17. haha the two 15", but like the guy above said, check out the BL, rms would be 2k, instead of 4k, and all your other sub combos were right around 2k two 15" BL fl FTW
  18. haha it's the local autorized DC dealer, called and he said $800 for the pair brand new... i'm saying this price is a little over done as i think we can all agree haha
  19. thanks guys, i just called and he said $400... ima shoot rusty something and see if he can help at all, thanks alot
  20. ya that's what the guy told me... i thought that was way ridiculous also is rusty on here??? i'd love to shoot him a pm and see what he says if you'd shoot me his username thing, thanks but it was either get two 15"s or do two 12" L7's instead of the one 15"
  21. really liked the DC Audio Lvl 3's i heard today any body have any reconmondations for two 15's running 1500 watts to both??? i'm prefferably looking for something i can get for cost, the level 3's were $400 a piece... looking to spend $400 total
